Acquainted

While Acquainted does have that dreaded abandoned tag attached to it, if you want to check out some drop dead gorgeous character renders, I still think that this is worth playing. This is one of those games that I first played ages ago and it just recently came back into my mind (I cannot remember why!) so I decided to look it back up again. That was when I saw that over the year since I last played the game, it had not been given any meaningful updates to increase the content. It is a real pity to as I do think that the developer had something going here.

That College Experience

I thought that the premise and setup for what was going on in Acquainted was cool and I get that some may say that this is cliché as hell, but I liked it. We take the role of the main character who is trying to live his best college life. We all know that college can be a lot of fun, but we are about to go through a really hard time as his girlfriend has just dumped his ass. This sucks, but we can still perhaps get our college experience, but that is made way trickier thanks to his younger sister showing up and needing to stay with him.

Sweet Little Mystery

That is the basic setup for what is going down in Acquainted. We experience the stress that the MC is going through thanks to being dumped by his girlfriend. However, the mystery comes into play when a strange and exciting potential new love interest comes into his life. To be honest, this game got abandoned way too soon so I cannot say where this went or you cannot even really tell where it was going to go as the game ends before anything of major substance happens. As I said, it is a shame because the setup of what was going down here did catch my attention and I would liked to have seen how the developer continued the story.

Those College Coeds!

While the story of Acquainted is not that great thanks to it being canned and given up on so early on in the games development. I do feel that those amazing character models more than make this worth your time checking out. There are a few lewd and risqué scenes in the game, but even when they are fully clothed, these are some of the most breathtakingly beautiful characters that you will ever see. You encounter a handful of female characters in the little amount of game that is here, but there is not a single one who I would say is less than a 9/10!

At Least Your Clicking Finger won't Get Tired

With Acquainted getting canceled so quickly in development there is next to no gameplay on offer here. I am not exaggerating when I say that you can play through all that is here in no time at all. I read another comment where someone said that there were like 20 clicks (not even choices) and then the game was over! To be honest, that is pretty much true and there is next to no interactivity on offer here with this game. You are basically working toward that one epic lewd scene and it is a good reward, but there is nothing of any kind of substance here in the gameplay.

Pros:

• The ladies in this game are hot
• I liked the idea of the story they were trying to tell
• The MC was a solid dude to base things around
• Did I mention that the ladies were hot?

Cons:

• There is next to no story here thanks to the game being abandoned
• There is nothing in the gameplay department at all!

Acquainted is an erotic visual novel about a breakup and problems in college. Does your girlfriend dump you just before you get accepted? Is your annoying roommate planning to go to the same college as you ? How not to go crazy with too many events and stay on your toes, you can find out for yourself.
