I do not think there is a more charming RPG coming than Little Witch in the Woods. This game just oozes charm and I think it is near impossible to watch the trailer and not smile the whole time. This is a classic style RPG, but it has more of a sense of community than just going out and fighting stuff to level up. As I write this there is no release date given for the game, but it does look like it should be released in the next year or so.

Ellie The Witch

The story of the game is sure to put a smile on your face. In Little Witch in the Woods, we play as Ellie. Ellie is a witch and she has been sent to a little town in the woods where witches are sent to live, help others and also hone their witchcraft skills. There are many fun, interesting and cute characters that you can interact with in this town and they all have their own little story to tell you.

A Link To The Witch

I have to say that I feel it is impossible to look at Little Witch in the Woods and not be reminded of The Legend of Zelda: A Link To The Past. It has that same fantastic 16-bit pixel art look and I am loving it. There is a ton of personality to this game thanks to the incredible animations. The various characters you will be coming across range from normal looking people, magical creatures, and even animals that can talk. I think the style of the game will keep you on your toes as you never know what kind of interesting character you will encounter next.

Mo Potions, No Problems

Part of the game that I think sounds a lot of fun is getting resources and making various potions. The resources are spread all over the place and tracking these things down looks to be an essential part of Little Witch in the Woods. Many of the problems that you encounter or the problems of the other townsfolk will need you to solve them with some kind of potion.

Cat Scratch Fever!

Cats and witches go hand in hand and that appears to be something that this game wants to get right. You can talk to cats that are all over the land cats have more than just a different look, they each have their own personality too, and getting to know them and be friendly with them, you can get them to want to follow you around which is a lot of fun.

How can you look at Little Witch in the Woods and not want to play it? This is one of the most charming RPGs I have seen in many years. It has a kind of retro look to it and I like how it is taking things at a slower pace. Those of you who want an RPG that is more laid back and on the cute side need to take a closer look at this game.
