Taimanin Asagi: Battle Arena

Gacha games have always been part of the Japanese industry, they are much like any other games, residing in multiple genres and being different kinds of games (Albeit still having that Japanese animation art style). Gacha is the word they use for micro-transactions, which means these games are centered around micro-transactions for more and more content, and when the content is as appealing as it is in Taimanin Asagi Battle Arena, who wouldn’t want to spend their money.

Taimanin Asagi Battle Arena is an adult collector game, focused around the “adult” parts of the game, it is much like games such as Kamihime Project R, where you have to mess around with multiple game modes and level up your characters which lets you unlock more and more adult scenes, but this game has more of a better structure than most games in its genre, which makes it stand out compared to the others.

Confusing yet Rewarding

Taimanin Asagi Battle Arena is mostly a card game, it doesn’t suffer from the prolonged unlocks of Kamihime Project R but it doesn’t really have the same amount of gameplay either, that was a game with proper turn based combat that really affected your unlocks, whereas this game is made to be focused towards the unlockable adult scenes, which are definitely the main focus here.

The gameplay is confusing to learn, but not hard to go through to be honest, the game usually does most of the work for you. The card game aspect is really non-existent, the different colours out of the three (Blue, Red and Yellow) are there to determine which faction your collected character is from, and that’s about all I remember from these cards, the main objective is definitely to collect these girls, and unlock the scenes.

Quality Cut scenes

The adult scenes are what take the spotlight here, these are very often long and intricately designed adult scenes that actually have a lot of good dialogue in them, it’s not the usual hentai dialogue either, there’s hints of each character’s personality. There’s no strategy in the card game section of this game, because the entirety of the developer’s time probably went into making these adult scenes this high quality.

A Fun and Fair Affair

They are long in length and have a lot of great content inside of them, with a story that is pretty garbage but the stories in these scenes are actually quite good, this is one of the rare moments I can recall watching an adult scene for the plot, though everything aside from the plot is pretty good too!
