Aurelia Special Edition

As I write this, Aurelia Special Edition is listed as coming out in quarter one of 2024, but I would not hold my breath for that to happen! This can be played in other places. Anyway, this is a fantastic lewd point-and-click adventure game that feels like something you would have played all the way back in the 90s. It is very well made, has a ton of style, and a great story and it has gameplay that is deep, engaging, and most importantly of all, fun!

A Magical New House

The title of Aurelia Special Edition refers to the setting of the game and that is the fantasy land of Aurelia. We have moved back to our old hometown as we have just inherited a house from our grandfather who has passed away. We are excited about this, but we find this mysterious amulet in our hose that causes a hot woman to appear and she is not a normal woman! She has magical powers and before we know it, we are in the middle of an exciting story filled with magic, wonder, and of course lots of hardcore sex!

Pointing And Clicking

The core gameplay of Aurelia Special Edition is fantastic. It feels like an old Lucas Arts or Sierra point-and-click adventure game that we would have seen on the Amiga or PC back in the 90s. We have a map that we can explore and we have to do things like manage our inventory, chat with characters, and try to solve puzzles with the things that we collect along the way. I feel that this game manages to walk the fine line of being fun for those who have played these types of games before as well as being welcoming enough to newcomers so that they can have fun with it as well.

But Wait! There Is More!

That alone would be enough to make Aurelia Special Edition a fun game, but the developer has gone a step further by making sure the gameplay is varied and that there is a good mix to the kind of stuff you will be doing. For example, you can work in a bar where you have to make orders, there is combat where you need to shoot your bow and arrow and there are a few other surprises as far as the gameplay goes too. The point-and-click adventure stuff is the main event here, but they have surrounded it with fun mini-games and extra stuff to do so that you never get bored. I also liked how there is an actual cheat menu, again adding to the throwback style of the game.

A True Work Of Art

Aurelia Special Edition is one of those games where I was pretty sure it was going to be something I liked based on the visuals alone. This has a very classic PC/Amiga look about it that is just awesome. It has spectacular pixel art and it even has a bunch of animated XXX scenes too that really show off just how talented this pixel artist is! I was also impressed with the soundtrack of the game which I feel fits the overall style and presentation of the game perfectly. You do also have a way to check out all the XXX scenes you have unlocked which is always something that I like to see in a lewd game.

Pros:

• This is a top-tier tier lewd point-and-click adventure game
• I liked how there was some variety to the gameplay
• It has some fantastic pixel art, complete with animated XXX scenes
• I found the story to be entertaining and interesting

Cons:

• The official Steam release for this is something I doubt is ever going to happen
• If you hate old school point-and-click adventure games, you may not get into this as much
