I am going to make a statement here and that is Rolling Hills: Make Sushi, Make Friends is the most adorable game of the year! This hybrid of a restaurant sim and a life sim just ticks every single box when it comes to what makes a game addictive and fun. I came across this by complete fluke while looking at what games were going to be coming out over the next several months and this one stuck out because of that awesome little robot who is the main character.

Making Your Makers Proud

Wholesome is probably the best way to describe the vibe and the overall premise that Rolling Hills: Make Sushi, Make Friends has. The main character of the game we play as is an adorable little robot, let's just call him Sushi-Bot. He dreams of becoming a chef and he gets his chance when a little sushi shop in a place called Rolling Hills needs a new head chef to take over. This little guy jumps at the opportunity to not just make the people of Rolling Hills happy but to also make his makers proud.

It Is People That Make Life Worth Living

While Rolling Hills: Make Sushi, Make Friends may not have a huge epic story for us to play through, what it does have is a ton of heart. You get to chat with the townspeople, getting to know them better, helping them be happy, and so on. The game does a wonderful job of creating a real sense of community where you feel like you are making a positive experience in people's lives. It is one of those games where you just have a huge goofy smile on your face the whole time you are playing it.

Making The Dream Come Alive

Gameplay wise, Rolling Hills: Make Sushi, Make Friends is the kind of game that is just a joy to play. There is actually a bit more depth to the gameplay than you may think. You do have to whip up tasty dishes for people. However, you also need to get new tasty ingredients, learn new recipes, and also lend a helping hand in other ways for the townspeople too. Plus, you make money and this money can be used to buy fun things for your restaurant and expand it. This is a game that has a super fun gameplay loop and it is 100 percent the kind of game that you can easily get addicted to. It has a very chill and charming vibe about it that makes it very calming to play.

Such An Expressive Little Guy

How can you look at that little Sushi-Bot and not smile? Rolling Hills: Make Sushi, Make Friends is one of the most adorable looking games of the year. For a little robot, this guy is so expressive. The way that he can express so many emotions makes him a very relatable and likable character. The town and the people in Rolling Hills are also designed to be very appealing to look at as well. The game captures the vibe of a charming small town so well. This is one of those games that makes you smile the whole time you play it. Also if the good guys and gals at Humble Games are smart, they will have a bunch of merch made for this little Sushi-Bot!

I cannot say enough positive things about Rolling Hills: Make Sushi, Make Friends! This is such a lovely little game and while it is a game that will make you smile and help you relax after a hard day. I also have to say that I am very impressed with the gameplay mechanics here as there is a lot to do and you always feel like you are working towards something be it helping someone out, learning a new recipe, or sprucing up your place. If you love chill games, this is honestly a must play game for you.
