Awaking GODSOUL

In this exciting cyberpunk card game, you’ll be connecting with anime drawn women who have the power of God Soul. This ability allows them to resonate with your soul, and travel through space using that resonance. Unique people who have this ability are called rebels, but not just for their talents. They come from “Dream City” which is anything but a dream. In Dream City, you are forced to work overtime and students are forced to spend most of their time in extra lessons.

Anyone who doesn’t comply with the laws and rules of the city are considered rebels—the same people with the power of God Soul. In the game you play a character who has become a rebel. Your goal is to fight against those who would force you to live a compulsory life and join others who feel the same way.

Beautiful graphics

This game has not been well developed at this time, but it’s obvious the most effort has been put into graphics. Each character is richly detailed, with small decorations adding to each one to give them life and personality. The characters are also softly animated, which adds even more life to their drawings.

Rich character development

Another aspect of the game that has seen some development is the character’s personalities. Each one has a backstory, a divine soul, and even a birthday. The characters come alive between their backstory and their graphics, making them an enjoyable aspect of the game.

Card gameplay

Gameplay itself is conducted through a card game. The details of the actual game part have not been made clear. At this time, it looks like you’ll have the option to draw and discard cards, buff your characters, and use items to help fight against other characters.

Who you will be fighting against specifically and why is a bit more vague, presumably having something to do with being asked to go to school or work. While it’s hard to tell from the scant photos available, it appears to have some similarities to DISGAEA RPG, another anime character based card game.

Release date to be announced

The developers have not yet announced when the game will come out, and it’s clear that more work still needs to be done. There is very little information available on this page, with just the steam page and no previews of other things at this time. As we progress through 2022, it’s likely more updates will occur that reveal more information about this game and where it will go.

Right now it’s too difficult to determine whether this game will be yet another card game, or if it will have something special to it. The artwork and animation is certainly promising, but without great game development to back it up it will essentially be nothing more than a pretty face.
