Bad Boy Simulator

Bad Boy Simulator has one of the worst written steam page descriptions that I have ever encountered! It is so bad that it is absolute gold as it is hilarious, I am not poking fun at the developer for English not being their first language, but it strangely made me want to play this game even more. This is a VR experience that is not about being part of a rap group, but is about going back to your school days and causing all kinds of trouble!

We’re Bad Boy For Life!

The premise of Bad Boy Simulator is simple, to be the “bully” in the class and cause trouble. I think they got the term bully mixed up, sure we play as an asshole, but I would not say that we straight up pick on other students or anything like that. We more want to cause trouble for our mean old teacher and the “classroom bastard” What exactly is a classroom bastard, hey when I find out I will be sure to tell you. It is basically another kid in your class who wants to catch you doing stuff that you are not supposed to be doing.

Hypnotize

Biggie, Biggie, Biggie can't you, see? Yeah, I am dropping Bad Boy Records reference all through this Bad Boy Simulator review. You see, this VR game has us in the classroom and we have to write on the chalkboard and try to not catch the ire of our teacher and just do our thing. The twist is that we have a special watch type thing that lets us freeze time! There is an episode of The Simpsons where Millhouse and Bart get a watch that pauses time and that has to be where the idea for this game came from as it is very similar. Just a quick look at the watch and pause! This is not permanent so you have to pause time, do what you need to do, and get back to where you are supposed to be as to avoid suspicion.

Flava In Ya Ear!

Now, you cannot just do what you want and not expect to get caught! Bad Boy Simulator has a rather interesting mechanic for keeping you on your toes and that is the teacher and the classroom bastard! You need to watch for the classroom bastard so that he is not watching what you are doing and can then tell the teacher. However, the teacher has a very expressive face and this is how you can tell if she is getting mad at the stuff you are doing such as throwing mentos into a can of coke or hiding her prized coffee mug, or stealing from your fellow students.

Mo Money Mo Problems!

You can tell that Bad Boy Simulator is a bit of a more modestly budgeted kind of video game as it has a rather basic look to it. The characters have a kind of PlayStation 2 quality about them, but rather than looking at that as a negative, it just kind of adds to the overall charm the game has. It has a bit of jankyness about it as far as the visuals and the overall game go. From frame rate stuffers which can be very jarring in VR to freezes to stuff in the classroom disappearing into other stuff. It is a rather low priced game so I do forgive them for the overall “budget” feel that the game has.

Pros:

• You play as a school jerk so that is fun
• Messing with the teacher can be hilarious
• Figuring out what you can do is fun
• I liked how you could pause time to screw around in class

Cons:

• The game has a very janky feel to it in pretty much every regard
• There is not actually a whole lot to do and you can see it all in one session

Bad Boy Simulator is a simulator of the school bully that was in every class. Become even worse by completing missions unnoticed from the teacher's discerning gaze and disrupt lessons, or maybe you'd like to teach others a lesson for treating you badly? Have fun in the school hallways, backyard or gymnasiums. Watch out for teacher moves and create the worst situations for the school, but the funniest for the students.
