Beautiful animal girls are a fan favorite of many visual novel readers. Yuri lovers are in for a treat with this sexy story from developers The Last Evil Wizard. The store focuses around June, who moves to a small town to try and get away from trouble. Unfortunately, her effort to escape trouble fails, and she finds herself in even more trouble! Your goal throughout the game is to uncover the town’s secrets, and to help the girls’ find love. Since it’s a yuri with girl on girl love, the focus is of course on their love for each other.

The game is rated at 18+ and described as Ecchi, so while there have been precious few scenes released except for what was in the trailer, we can guess that there are lots of sexy poses, but not a lot in the way of hentai scenes. The game has similar artwork to a different visual novel, Heart of the Woods, but with a haunted mansion to explore instead of a mysterious village.

Stunning Graphics

One clue about the game that is revealed to us is just how beautiful the graphics are. The Last Evil Wizard held nothing back when hiring artists, and the results are beautiful graphics at challenging angles, and truly wonderful animations. Since graphics are such a big part of a visual novel, seeing how much thought was put into this aspect of the game is really encouraging.

Generous features

A unique aspect of this game is how many features are being included. A visual novel is usually mostly story and graphics, with interactions mainly in the form of choices or sometimes a mini-game. Chasing Tails is well stocked with features. Plans are in the works for a trading card aspect to the game, which likely won’t be available until some time after the game is released, but achievements and multiple choice endings will be available. There’s also plenty of steamy content, and a touch of horror to get things moving. With two charming characters to play, you’ll be able to enjoy the game from different perspectives as you work towards helping them find love.

As exciting as Chasing Tails -A Promise in the Snow- is, you’ll have to wait just a little bit longer to play it. This beautiful yuri visual novel is expected to be released in July 2021. If you want to get your hands on it the second it is available, Steam can notify you once it goes live.

It looks like this visual novel will be well worth reading, especially if you’re a fan of yuri. With multiple endings, two different characters to play, and ecchi scenes to keep things spicy, this novel fits the bill for a great gaming experience. While its too soon to tell whether there are fatal flaws in the game, what we can see makes it look like a great game.
