Down On The Farm

Down On The Farm is not officially abandoned, the developer has said that they are still working on it, just that life has gotten in the way. I think that this is a very interesting 3D lewd RPG style of game. It has RPG elements that is for sure, but the real target audience of this game has to be those who love furry characters as this game is all about that. The developer had some neat ideas with this one and I have played through what is available a few times now and I am always impressed and a little bummed out that they have not finished what they started here.

Not To Be Confused With…

One of the craziest things I have to talk about when it comes to Down On The Farm is that there are multiple lewd games that have this or a similar name to them. Another cool one is a text based game that uses real life porn images. I just wanted to mention that in case you are reading this after playing one of the other games (there are even basic kid friendly games with the same title) and are wondering what the heck I am talking about here. This is all about the 3D lewd furry game so please keep that in mind as we go forward.

All In A Day's Work

The idea of what is going on in Down On The Farm is that we are in charge of this farm and we have to work and breed to keep it going. One thing that I thought was pretty neat from a story perspective was how you could decide if the NPC characters that you are going to be interacting with are male, female, or even futa. The version of the game that I most recently played did not exactly have a ton of story, but the little bits of info that are here and there are interesting. Plus, I think for those who are Futa fans, the idea of a story about breeding with hot creatures is sure to be pretty cool.

Giving You A Little Taste

I would say that what we have here with Down On The Farm in its most recent version is probably described best as a demo. You get to move around freely as you like so that you can explore, find items, complete tasks, and even get into combat. You have a few stats to work on which are, stamina, desire, tolerance, and arousal which are all marked out of 100 as well as “traits” the first one of which is new in town. You have an inventory system and from this menu, you can check out your stats, quests, and so on. I do feel like they have the bones here for a solid lewd RPG here, but there is just not a great deal to do at this point.

Furry By Nature!

If you are not down with the whole furry thing, walk on as Down On The Farm is a game that is not for you! The characters in this game are all humanoid style animals and to be fair, they have rocking bodies. As I said, you can pick between male, female and futa and that is kind of cool. The character faces look very great and the designs are fantastic, but I do not find them attractive in the slightest if I am being honest. Still, I can appreciate the work of a talented artist when I see it. For a game that has a long way to go in development, I really like the visual style. It is bright and easy to make out and I think that they are on the right track to make a game that is very easy on the eyes.

Pros:

• I liked the farmyard setting
• There are plenty of interesting furry characters
• You can pick between three types of characters to occupy the world
• The RPG gameplay is shaping up to be very entertaining

Cons:

• The developer is honest and upfront, but this is taking ages to get done
• If you are not a fan of furry characters, this is not the game for you
