I had a great time with Dragon Princess is Hungry! I played the Japanese version of the game, but I am very happy to say that an English translation is coming in 2023 and I will certainly be playing through this again. This is a lewd action game, with some RPG like elements sprinkled over it. I have seen it referred to as a lewd RPG, but I think action game is a much more fitting category for this game. It has a lot of charm and if you are a big fan of monster girls like I am, you are sure to get a kick out of this.

Serving The Princess

The story of Dragon Princess is Hungry I will admit I was not able to fully understand, but I can give you the basics. We play as a young feisty servant called Pfel and we serve the very hot Eva who is a half dragon half, human Princess. We have come to this mysterious island that is full of monsters and monster girls and our job is to head out on adventure and find food for our princess. It is decent enough stuff and I am interested to experience it more when I get around to playing the English translation.

A Girl For Every Guy

One thing that I love about Dragon Princess is Hungry is the monster girl designs! They went way over the top here as no matter what you are into, there is probably a girl that ticks all of the boxes for you. We are talking things with lots of tentacles, hairy monster girls, and even some more “normal” looking girls as well. Heading out on an adventure was always fun as you never knew for sure what kind of monster you were going to be encountering next!

A Very Demanding Princess

The gameplay of Dragon Princess is Hungry is going to be something that I think either clicks for you or does not. The basics are that you head out on a run and must smack around the enemies that get in your way. You start off with basic ranged attacks, but as you progress, you learn new and more powerful abilities, this is where the RPG elements come into play and the progression is rather fast. The thing is, you feel like you are doing the same thing over and over again so if the gameplay does not grab you in those first ten or so minutes, chances are the game is not for you.

No Wonder Pfel Is So Eager To Serve!

Dragon Princess is Hungry is an amazing looking game! The CGs in this game are epic and our princess is so hot! The game has a very high end anime look to it and the XXX content is awesome! While some of the sex scenes, like the tentacle ones, are not for me, I can still appreciate how well made they are! This game is just pure eye candy and I am not just talking about the sex scenes or the portraits. The gameplay is not done with your typical lewd pixel art, this has a much more “modern” kind of look to it and it is all bright, colorful, and very well done. I truly could not be any more impressed with the way that this game looks!

Even though I was not able to fully appreciate the story of Dragon Princess is Hungry as I was impatient and played the Japanese version, I was still able to progress all the way through the game so that lets you know how easy to play this is. I loved the basic combat and found the whole repetitive nature of the game to be fun and relaxing. The art is absolutely stunning and something I am sure will push people to keep on playing this game all the way until the end!

I like our two main characters
The art in this game is incredible!
The gameplay loop was something that got its hooks into me right from the start
This is not a complicated game to figure out

Cons:

I wonder how deep the story will actually be when I can understand it
You do the same thing over and over again in this game which may turn some people off
