High Life

It sucks when I come across a game like High Life and have a blast playing it and then I realize that the game has been abandoned! This is a very cool lewd visual novel that has a really great idea for its story. What we have here is more like a demo or even a proof of concept type of thing. It is a real shame that the developer did not stick with this as I truly do think that they had something cool here and I would love to have seen where they took it.

Life On The Right Track

Our main character in High Life is a high school senior called Elanor. Elanor is a good girl, she has her head screwed on right. She has worked hard in high school, she has good grades, is a good person and she is now getting ready to start the next chapter of her life at college/university. However, while Elanor is what you would classify as a good girl, she wants to experience more from life and that is where her friend, Isabelle comes into play and let me tell you, she is a wild one!

Life Sure Can Be Strange

Isabelle is here in High Life to try and show Elanor the finer and more fun things in life. She is a party girl and before long, Elanor will experience sex, drugs, and rock and roll if you know what I am saying. What we have here is a coming of age story about a young woman that is finding her way in the world. It is a great idea for a story and in many ways it reminds me of Life is Strange where you have these young women that are trying to discover who they are. You only get to spend a little bit of time with these girls and that is what sucks about this being abandoned as they do a good job of hooking you in here.

Steph’s Story!

I want to go back to the Life is Strange reference, specifically, Life is Strange: True Colors. When I was checking out the page for High Life, I, of course, looked at the screenshots and there was this one character who looked like a sluttier version of Steph from Life is Strange! As well as her, this game has some very attractive character models and what I like about this is that they are attractive, but they are not too attractive if that makes sense. These ladies and guys have great bodies, but they are done in a more realistic way. The build of the game that got released does not exactly have a lot of XXX content, but what is here is very well done.

A Very Important Choice To Make

As I have said a million times, High Life is a game that got abandoned by its developer so what we have here is pretty much all that there is to it. The game is set up as a lewd visual novel and the idea from what I understand was to be able to try and keep Elanor as a good girl as she explores her sexuality and tries to find that special one. Or, you could have her become a rather promiscuous party girl who plays the field on both sides! What we have here are just a few “gameplay” choices that you get to make, but I do think it set things up pretty well and I would have liked to have seen what it became.

Pros:

• I liked both of our main characters
• It has a great coming of age story
• I feel like we could have had a lot of choices in the way her life went
• The visuals are great!

Cons:

• The game is pretty much a demo
• It is abandoned so no more content will be here
