HyperCam

Even though as I write this HyperCam is having some troubles with its development, this is an awesome lewd visual novel that has a ton of charm and style to it. The developer had some personal issues so I am not sure if they will ever be back to feeling able to get the game back on track which is a real shame as I was completely hooked on this. It only takes around ten minutes or so to get to the end of it, but if you are into furry boy's love stories, this is one game that you will have a lot of fun with.

Being A Good Classmate

The story of HyperCam has us playing as a student who ends up agreeing to help a new student called Todd get caught up on his schoolwork. Turns out that Todd has been absent for a few weeks and is falling behind. We end up falling asleep in class and we offer to help the teacher and help Todd with his work. What I like about this is that the game does a fantastic job in just a few minutes of letting us know the kind of person we are as well as how hard it has been for Todd as a new student.

Incoming Video Call

Most of the story in the game is told via an online video call hence the name HyperCam I guess. We end up sending Todd his work and he gives us a call and it turns out he is a super cute fox. We start chatting with Todd and he reveals that he is absent because it is mating season and he is a “hyperfur” What the heck is a hyperfur you may be asking yourself right now. Well, turns out that it basically means Todd has a massive penis! We start to joke with Todd and soon things turn very personal and sexual. The story has a ton of charm to it and the writing makes the conversation between these two “friends” feel very natural and real.

Gameplay Coming Soon

I would have to say that in the current state that HyperCam is sitting in it has to be classed as a kinetic lewd visual novel. There is pretty much no gameplay here, we just follow the story and have fun doing so. However, there are parts of the game, like when you click on the computer where a text box will pop up and let you know that something is coming soon. So, it does seem like if the developer is able to get this thing back on track, there will be some kind of actual gameplay implemented in the game.

A Monster Next To A Can Of Monster!

I love the art style of this game and while most of what we see is Todd on the screen, the developer has given Todd a ton of personality. HyperCam is such a great looking game and the way that Todd manages to go from looking “normal” to shy, to nervous to sexy, and confident is very well done. Plus, there is a scene where Todd sends us a dick pic that has him using a can of Monster Energy for reference and I do not know why, but that got such a huge chuckle out of me.

Pros:

• I thought that Todd was a very likable character
• The way that Todd shows so many emotions is very well done
• That dick pic pretty epic, some might even say “monstrous”
• The story between these two felt very real and natural

Cons:

• You do need to be into furry boy's love stories to appreciate this
• As much as I hate to admit it, it looks like this game is never going to be finished
