Lollipop Chainsaw

There are some games that I could not be any more into and Lollipop Chainsaw here is one of them. This game is brought to us by crazy game designer Suda51 and crazy filmmaker James Gunn, two people I am a huge fan of so this was a game I was following from early development all the way to its release back in 2012. This is one of those games that you either love or not and I 100 percent love it.

Juliet Starling, Hot Cheerleader, Hot Zombie Killer

The story of the game is freaking nuts, but I love it. Juliet Starling is a hot cheerleader who has just turned 18. At school, she is living her best high school life when a zombie outbreak happens!

This zombie outbreak is the work of a dark individual who is trying to merge different realms. Thankfully, Juliet is part of a family of zombie hunters so she is taking on the task of stopping this.

Lollipop Chainsaw is a story that is crazy and funny and pretty vulgar too. Juliet is joined on her adventure by her boyfriend Nick... who got bitten trying to protect her and Juliet saves him by chopping off his head and using magic to keep him alive! The story is a ton of fun and full of very memorable moments.

Hey Micky, Your So Fine!

The visuals of Lollipop Chainsaw are great and hold up very well to this day. The game is gross, full of blood and guts and violence. However, this is offset by the bright sparks, cheerleading, and flashes of color and glitter that happens. It sounds like it would be a real clash of styles, but it works very well and makes for a very unique kind of look for a game.

The soundtrack and voice acting are just as good. Tara Strong is one of my favorite voice actors and she brings Juliet to life very well. The music is awesome and even though you will hear, Hey Mickey a million times by the end of the game, it never actually gets old.

Hack, Slash, And Chainsaw

The gameplay is a ton of fun. Some people find it very repetitive and even a tad rough around the edges, but I just find it a ton of fun. It is a 3rd person hack and slash game where you kick a ton of ass as Juliet. She has some fun moves that she can do and these awesome finishing moves. You can unlock combos as you go and sometimes the game does force you to mix things up a bit as you try and take down hordes of zombies. It also has some boss battles that mix things up to.

Lollipop Chainsaw does try and keep the gameplay fresh by adding in a few quick time sections too. Some of these have you putting Nick’s head on the body of a zombie which is fun. Juliet also gets to run really fast in certain sections and these can be tricky to control at first, but they are still a nice addition to the gameplay. You are probably looking at around 6 to 8 hours to beat the game, but it is the kind of game that you can play through again and again.

Pros

• Juliet is an awesome character and she is voiced by Tara Strong
• The whole story of the game is funny, dark, and gross too
• I loved how the game was gory, but also very colorful
• The voice acting is fantastic
• The hack and slash action feels very satisfying

Cons

• While it still looks good, I would love a new remaster of the game
• Some people just do not like this game

No more ruined holidays

Juliette is one of the high school's top cheerleaders, an honors student, an athlete, and the beloved middle daughter of one extraordinary family. On her birthday, Juliet was going to meet her boyfriend, Nick, for a walk with him to her family's birthday dinner afterward. However, her plans are disrupted by a sudden zombie apocalypse. While fighting the zombies, Nick gets infected and Juliet has no choice but to chop off his head and make him live ancient magic! Surprised? Juliette is a hereditary zombie hunter and those dead date destroyers are going to have to pay for her boyfriend.

Not the Texas Chainsaw Massacre

A really powerful weapon against zombies is the combo of a flexible body and an enchanted chainsaw. However, if the usual stinkbags with bones are easy to chop up with such a weapon, what about the main stars of this dead concert? It is the main bosses who are the stars, as each of the dead performers represents a particular genre of rock music:

• Punk rock. Punks don't die and that's what Mad Zedd proves, loud dead punk rock will blow the head off anyone who wants to interrupt the fun. That's why you better bring a chainsaw to the showdown.
• Viking rock. What's that in the sky? A huge Viking ship led by Vicki, the stern, bearded rocker. Well, he'll have to be cut more than once, Valhalla doesn't seem to want to accept him.
• Funk(i)-rock. How to move a body, even a dead and half-decomposed one, Joisy will tell you. A party with a bloody mary is much better than a bloody Juliet.
• Psychedelic Rock. Marisha will show the true essence of relaxation and guide the characters to nirvana. However, this dead bitch forgot that her high can not stand ordinary people, it is worth introducing her to the chainsaw for such disrespect.

Slash your enemies, use the guy's head as a weapon, and wreak total havoc in the realm of destruction and death. And don't forget to have fun, of course. Juliet can be dressed up and even cosplay anime with her.
