Mice Tea

I am going to go out on a limb here and say that Mice Tea may be my favorite lewd game of the year! I will go a step further and say that this game may very well be on my best games of 2023 list in general. This is the kind of game that you may come to for the lewd content, but you end up sticking around and playing through it multiple times because the characters are so engaging, well written, and even relatable. This is truly one of the best gaming experiences I have had this year!

Stuck In A Rut!

The premise of Mice Tea is something I am sure many of us can relate to. We play the role of a woman in her 20s called, Margaret. Margaret is cool, sweet, and a bit geeky, she is awesome. Anyway, she works in a bookstore, but her life feels like it is stuck in a rut. Her job is going nowhere and her love life is not exactly as hot and steamy as she would like, but it is about to get way more interesting thanks to tea…. As in a cup of tea.

A Secret Box

Margaret comes across a box of tea and she decides to make a cup, this is where the twist of Mice Tea comes into play. This is no ordinary tea! Those who drink this tea will be transformed into an anthropomorphic animal! Yes, this sounds so weird and crazy, but the writing is so good and so expressive that it 100 percent pulls it off. I think it is because they fully commit to this premise that the story is so good. There are multiple paths as well, so far, I am on my third playthrough and I am still finding more stuff out about this group of people.

Plenty Of Ways To Go

Mice Tea is a lewd visual novel, but it is truly one of the best that I have ever played. There are four romance options for you in this game in, Felix, Sylvia, Gavin, and Julie. Each character has their own relationship with Margaret and there is a very interesting, fun, quirky, and unique social satiation with all these people going on. There are different transformations that people can go through and there are many different endings too. This is the kind of game where I am pretty sure I will play through it so that I can see all of the paths and endings it has to offer.

A True Work Of Art

The story, the setting, the characters, and the gameplay of Mice Tea are all awesome. What is tying this all together is some truly incredible art that gives each of our five main characters a ton of personality. The lewd content here is great and while very XXX, it does not feel too extreme (although it is very furry/monster themed) as the writing that accompanies it makes it feel so much more than just cheap sex. Even though we do not have a whole bunch of fully animated sex scenes here, I do not mind one bit as the art alone and the very descriptive writing more than makes up for that and in all honesty, is way better than any 3 to 5 second animation loop would be.

Pros:

• Margaret is a fantastic main character
• All of the characters are very well written
• The story is far more than just people hooking up
• It has some incredible art!

Cons:

• Some may be put off by the furry type characters
• This 100 percent needs some kind of physical edition, I would easily drop 200 bucks on some kind of special collectors edition!
