Model Builder

Simulators are a popular genre for good reason. They allow people to have the experience of certain hobbies and professions that would otherwise be too expensive or otherwise impossible. Model Builder is the latest simulator to hit Steam, with a focus on building model vehicles.

From the moment you start up their demo game and start playing, it becomes obvious this is no ordinary simulator. The developers have exhausted themselves making every detail of this simulation as realistic as possible.

Realistic 3d Graphics

The graphics in Model Builder are nothing short of incredible. The graphics are so crisp and clear that it’s almost indistinguishable from a real room. There is some very slight lag in movement, but considering this is a demo, it’s incredibly exciting to see. The room is also well fleshed out, with clear signs that a real person live there. The sticky note by the door and the coffee cup make it feel more at home.

A precise simulation

Moving on to the actual building, it features smooth navigation and exquisite tools that look and act like the real thing. If you ever wanted to immerse yourself in a building experience but can’t afford a full crafting room and the models to go with it, this game is the next best thing.

The level of detail is similar to that in Model Railway Easily, but nothing quite matches the care and attention lavished on this game. Model Builder is in a class above the rest when it comes down to a fully functional, detailed and smooth simulation.

Generous number of models

While the demo game has a fairly modest number of models to choose from, much more is being created for the game itself. This includes a number of different vehicles, as well as virtual versions of real products from different model companies.

The game not only takes you through the process of creating these models in exquisite detail, but also allows you to color them any way you see fit, as well as arrange them in a diorama to tell a story. You can arrange them to create different moods, from a powerful war theme to something lighter and more whimsical.

Coming soon

Model Builder isn’t out yet, but it’s release is expected soon. The full version should be out for players to enjoy January 27th. As simulations go, you can’t possibly ask for better than Model Builder. This incredible game has it all: amazing graphics, smooth navigation, all the details of modeling, and a huge selection of models to choose from.
