My Lovely Sara

Yikes, I have to say that for me, My Lovely Sara was a hard sell. I came into this game with the best of intentions of giving it a fair try, but as someone that has never really found the whole incest thing in a game appealing. This game leaned way too hard into that. Hey, no judgment here, and if you get a kick out of stories like that in your lewd visual novels, by all means, give this a try. However, if that kind of thing does usually turn you off, like me, you will probably have a hard time getting through this one.

Going Through The Years

The premise of My Lovely Sara is that we play as a dad who has just recently come back into his fully blossomed daughter’s life. Sara is our daughter and she is quite naive and has never really dated or known what to do in this type of situation. Look, you can see where this is going a mile away cant you? The dad has a creepy infatuation with his daughter and decides that he will pretend to be her boyfriend in order to “help” her!

The Creep Scale Just Hit A Ten!

The problem with the story that My Lovely Sara is trying to tell is that it is playing things way too seriously and as a result, the dad we play as in this game is legit one of the creepiest dudes I have ever played as. He will be massaging his daughter's butt one second and then talking about how wrong it is the next. I guess they are trying to make him sound conflicted, but the whole thing just creeped me out big time. It did not help that some of the dialogue went on forever as well!

Going For The Goal

My Lovely Sara is a lewd visual novel game and that means most of the “gameplay” is making various choices. Thankfully, the game does not give you a ton of options when it comes to making choices so it is a very easy game to play as I always felt that it was pretty obvious what the right choice to make was. I do think that it is a bit longwinded so even if you do find things hot, it may still lose your interest after a while. Also, from what I understand, this game is actually abandoned so there is no proper ending, which kind of makes it an even bigger waste of time!

Good Renders, Bad Intentions

The best thing that I can say about My Lovely Sara is that at least the character renders are decent. I give them credit for not making Sara look too young, so many lewd games make this mistake and it just makes it feel so much creepier. That is not the case here, the characters all look decent enough. The lewd content that I came across was not bad either, but again, due to the subject matter, I found it more creepy than hot so had a hard time getting any enjoyment out of it at all.

Pros:

• I can see why some people would find Sara cute
• The game is easy to play through
• To be fair, the character renders are decent
• If you like the whole daddy daughter thing, you may get a kick out of this

Cons:

• The MC is one of the creepiest dudes I have ever played as!
• The game is not finished and never will be by all accounts!
