MythBusters: The Game - Crazy Experiments Simulator

As a massive fan of the show, I was very excited to hear about MythBusters: The Game - Crazy Experiments Simulator. It has the same clever and zany antics as the show, but now we are in charge and get to be part of all the awesome and over the top experiments that we have seen on the show. What I think is pretty neat about this game is that it has more in common with a puzzle game than anything else and that is pretty damn interesting.

Getting High Ratings

As you would have probably guessed there is no big story for you to play through in MythBusters: The Game - Crazy Experiments Simulator. There is though an option in the game where you get to record your own episode of MythBusters which I think is just awesome.

You get a production budget and you can decide what myths you are going to try and showcase on the show. It is a fantastic idea for a game mode and great if you have always wished you could be part of the show.

Understanding The Myth

The puzzle aspect of the game takes place in the blueprint zone. Here you get the “blueprints” of what you need to do in order to try and prove or bust a particular myth. The idea here is that you will learn the mechanics of what makes this myth work so that you can then recreate it and showcase it on your show. It is fun stuff and far more challenging than you would think.

Bringing It To Life

There is far more to bringing a myth to life in MythBusters: The Game - Crazy Experiments Simulator than you would think. Once you have checked out the blueprints for the myth you need to make sure that you have or can make the right materials in order to carry it out. One extra aspect of the game that I think is fun is that you can place a bet on each myth before you do it. You can decide if it is plausible or not and put a bet on it. The whole idea is that you are trying to build your audience so you can get more money to create more myths!

You Are The Star

The game looks very appealing and it has areas like you would find on the show such as the warehouse, the workshop, and the testing area to name a few. It is cool to see these recreated in video game form. While it gets these things right, I do wish it went more in with the TV presentation as from what I have experienced so far, Adam and Jamie are not part of the game which may disappoint some people.

• You feel like you are on the show
• Tons of different myths for you to prove or debunk
• The game has a real puzzle aspect about it
• Fans of the show are going to love this

Cons:

• I am not sure if Jamie and Adam are part of this
• Once you have done a myth is there any point in doing it again?
