Q REMASTERED is very simple; the game consists of missions you must complete to advance. Sometimes, the missions are about taking a ball out of a box or moving a ball from A to B, helping a ragdoll to sit on a chair, moving a moai to a certain point, etc. The game gets crazier and crazier while it advances, resembling the classic random Japanese comedy style.

The main catch is that you must draw things mid-air; as soon as you stop drawing, the object will fall, so you have to act accordingly and build mechanisms to complete the mission. Thanks to the physics of the game, you can create axis points where you can draw objects that can balance, and it’s a great way to solve puzzles.

But don’t dare think the game is easy because it’s funny and can make you laugh; it’s really hard and challenging. You can easily get stuck on a mission, and you won’t advance until you discover how to do it yourself, as there are no fixed answers to solve the puzzles. This is what makes Q REMASTERED such a great game, as it’s as rewarding to complete as other pretty hard Japanese puzzle games like Sobokan or Super Monkey Ball: Banana Mania.

Don’t expect Q REMASTERED to be a beautiful game; it is meant to be ugly, on purpose, that’s all its aesthetic, and it’s iconic, as Q REMASTERED is a very renowned game everyone knows in Japan. A lot of people play it because it’s addictive. You can start playing, and suddenly, you spent the last five hours trying to figure out how to move some gremlins from the left wall to the right wall.

The thing is that in this kind of game, the main focus is the gameplay; anything else is valid if the game is very enjoyable and fun to play. That’s what happens with Q REMASTERED; it doesn’t have any attractive value, but it doesn’t matter, as that’s not the main focus of the game.
