Take Me To The Dungeon!!

I will admit that I came to Take Me To The Dungeon!! To the XXX hentai visuals, but I ended up saying around for the fantastic and fun roguelite deckbuilding gameplay that it offered. This is one of the biggest surprises I have played over the last year or so. This is just a fun time pure and simple, it manages to walk a very fine line of being accessible, but also challenging without turning novice players away at the start and having more experienced deckbuilding gameplay enthusiasts getting bored quickly.

A Strange Land With A Stranger Girl

One area where I will admit that Take Me To The Dungeon!! Is lacking a little is in the story. We are a regular dude that ends up in this fantasy world. We come across a cutie called Una and her sister is missing and we end up helping her find her sister, all the while trying to get back home. It is fun enough and I like how cute Una is and the thought of a demon king running things was something that I got a kick out of.

Hooking Me Right From The Start!

As I said, I was attracted to Take Me To The Dungeon!! Because of the bright and flashy hentai visuals. However, this game nails it as far as the gameplay goes. It has the perfect pacing to get you up to speed on how to play it. The way that they explain everything in a fun way and have you learn by doing as those early fights are more on the simple side is very clever. It all moves at a quick pace and by the time you have beaten that first boss, you are fully up to speed and ready to take on what the next dungeon has to offer you!

My Deck Is My Power

When you start playing Take Me To The Dungeon!! You have a basic deck of cards that allow you to do things like attack and heal. You also have runes that can power up your cards. As you progress through the game, you will get new cards with each dungeon that you defeat. You will face a mini-boss at level 10 and then a proper boss at level 20. You can see what is coming three floors in advance so you can try and strategize what kind of cards you want to make use of in your deck. It is simple, but I do not mean that in a bad way, there is also depth here, but the game is just so much fun to play! It is honestly one of the more fun and accessible deckbuilding games that I have played in a very long time.

Get Those Slimy Tentacles Off Me

I have a bit of a love/hate relationship with the world of hentai. Take Me To The Dungeon!! Has some fantastic character designs! I love their hentai anime style and the way they are bright, colorful and so expressive is a ton of fun and helped me get more invested in the game. The way you lose clothing as you progress through a battle is also something that I thought was pretty awesome and got a huge kick out of. There are some very well drawn and animated hentai scenes, but the whole tentacle thing has never been for me. Still, that is a personal thing so if you like that kind of stuff, this is sure to be something you really love. Oh, I almost forgot to mention that the characters are brought to life with some awesome Japanese voice acting.

• I have never been into seeing girls get ravaged by tentacles
• The story could perhaps have done with a bit more fleshing out
