I thought that the premise of The Rise of Vruk sounded kind of fun so I decided to fire it up and give the game a go. I have a friend who absolutely hates this game and I thought that there was no way that it could be as bad as he said it was... well, it might not be quite that bad, but this game certainly needs a great deal of work before it becomes good! The game is still being worked on to be fair so the issues that I have with it could possibly be fixed by the time you have read this.

Getting Chicks Pregnant To Get Revenge

In The Rise of Vruk, we play as a goblin called Vruk. Vruk is out for revenge after his clan was destroyed by a group of evil orcs. He is going to get his revenge by building an army that can take them all down, but to do this he needs some human woman so that he can breed these half breed warriors. That is pretty much the whole premise of the game. I know it sounds kind of silly, but thankfully the game does not take itself too seriously so it is easy to ignore the strange stuff that is going on here.

RPG, But The G Stands For Green Goblin!

Have you played a lewd RPG that is made with RPG Maker before? I would wager that yes is probably the answer to that, well The Rise of Vruk is your typical lewd RPG. It has you controlling this little guy as you go around the map completing various objectives to try and move the story along. The problem is, this game is rather poorly made. You have to be at certain places at certain times to do certain things, but it very rarely works. The hint system is one of the worst I have seen and it is near impossible to know what you are actually supposed to do in this game. I think that the gameplay needs a complete overhaul as I know this sounds harsh, but the game feels like it is broken.

If you get that reference then you “rock” and we can be friends. The visuals of The Rise of Vruk are not my cup of tea at all. Vruk is a little guy with a penis that is about ¾ of his size, how he functions with this thing is beyond me. Anyway, I can get over that, and while there are some nice-looking females in this game. I have never been into watching chicks get banged by monsters, there is one scene where a woman is getting banged by a wolf and it just looks gross! There is animation here, but it is like 2 frames and that is it.

I have to say that I can see why my friend did not like this game. I would not say I hated it as much as he did, but I found my time with The Rise of Vruk to be very frustrating. The game just feels like a massive chore to play. It feels like the game is about 10 percent complete as stuff just does not work and you never know what you are supposed to do. If you like monsters banging chicks then the art alone may be enough to make you persevere. However, for me, unless there is a massive update to this that fixes the gameplay, I do not think I will be coming back to this game!
