Touchdown Girls

I have to say that I had very high hopes for Touchdown Girls and even after playing through the game, I think that with a bit more work, it could realize its potential. I did actually play through this from start to end and it was an ok experience. If you want a lewd visual novel that is basically one sex scene and then going straight to the next one, you may want to give this a try. However, if you are expecting some kind of fun and deep college style story, you may be disappointed.

The Old College Try

I have always been a fan of lewd games that have a college style story. Touchdown Girls is a game that is going for this! We have a main character that is trying to be the star quarterback for the Brigham Hornets. Our main character (Mike) though ends up getting the full college experience as there are many girls that he can interact and hook up with. There are six main girls and also a few other guys that also pop up in the story so there is a decent cast of characters.

American Horror Story Or American Pie?

While I feel that Touchdown Girls has a solid premise and there is a decent amount of characters. The execution of the game is something that I feel needed a lot of work before it was released. To me, this should be a basic, college football stud wants to bang chicks’ story, but it is like they wanted to do more than that and as a result, the story is all over the freaking place. Much of what goes down makes no sense at all, there are sometimes where I am 99 percent sure that the text that is paired with a scene is flat out wrong as it makes so little sense.

A Tale Of Two Cities

The presentation of Touchdown Girls is a real mixed bag. The lewd content can be great, it is animated and the characters are all very easy on the eyes. The story stuff though sometimes looks like it was made by a completely different person as it is much lower quality. Going from a static story scene to an animated sex scene can be very jarring as the quality difference is huge, possibly the largest I have seen in any lewd game!

Working Under The Hood

Touchdown Girls is also a lewd game that struggles technically. There are many bugs and crashes that interrupted my experience. From random art assets appearing in scenes that they were not supposed to be in the game needing me to do the whole CTRL-ALT-Delete thing to close it once I had finished it! There is the illusion of gameplay here with some choices, but they never felt like they mattered and, to be honest with you with how rough it was, I would imagine branching paths would have caused more technical issues. It feels like the game was not ready to be released!

Pros:

• I liked the college setting of the game
• There are some great looking ladies in the game
• They are trying to tell a fun college style story here
• The MC being a college football star was kind of cool

Cons:

• Technically, the game is a bit of a mess and will crash on you!
• The story makes no sense for the most part
