Truck World: Driving is a truck simulation game released by HypeTrain Digital in January 2023.

What is Truck World: Driving School?

It’s pretty much fresh off the shelf and is actually a free-to-play demo that serves as a prologue to Truck World: Australia which is set to be released in the near future. Truck World: Driving School is exactly as the name suggests. It’s a truck driving simulator that takes you through all the steps and controls required to handle a big rig. If you’re an avid fan of vehicle simulation games, then you’ll want to check this one out.

Players are first introduced to a tutorial that covers the basics of driving a truck. If you're not familiar with the mechanics of driving a truck, it’s a great way to understand what to do to progress in the game. The tutorial covers all the basics from accelerating and braking to turning and reversing. Once you've completed the tutorial, you're free to explore the world of Truck World: Driving School. You can then complete other challenges to unlock more trucks and locations.

These challenges are designed to test your driving skills and include parking, backing up, and navigating tight spaces. Each challenge is timed, so there's a sense of urgency to complete the task as quickly and accurately as possible which makes it fun and exciting.

Beautiful graphics

The game stands out for its beautifully rendered scenery, textures and lighting, and of course, realistic truck designs. There is a lot of attention to detail and a sense of realism in the mechanics of the game such as the variety of trucks available, each with its own unique handling characteristics. For example, whether you're driving a big rig or a smaller delivery truck, you'll need to pay attention to your speed, braking distance, and turning radius to avoid accidents.

While the game has many pluses, there is one lacking feature that players may not be fond of. There is no menu option to choose between left-hand or right-hand drive. This however can be attributed to making the game more authentic to its location down under where steering wheels are typically situated on the right side of vehicles.

Takeaway

Truck World: Driving School is a fun and engaging simulation game. It offers a realistic experience of being a truck driver. The game’s graphics and the driving mechanics are done with a lot of precision for a simulator. It’s definitely a good time sink that you can pick up real-life applications or knowledge about how trucks operate.
