Wander Hero

A game with all the collecting allure of a gacha title – without the long-lasting financial implications – Wander Hero is here to scratch that collectathon itch in the heart of gamers everywhere. With its outstanding anime artwork and addictive gameplay loop, this is one of those games that will keep you hooked for days on end!

While the game might feel as if it depends a bit too much on luck over anything else, the addictive gameplay and rewarding progression always make you feel as if you're achieving something in the world of Wander Hero. While other gacha games will have you emptying your wallet, this might be the only game of its kind where playing, not paying, is what gets you the big rewards.

Marble Madness

At first glance, it seems as if Wander Hero will be just another run-of-the-mill card-collecting gacha game, complete with all the random stats that usually come with this particular sub-genre. Once we look a bit deeper, though, the true nature of the game becomes apparent, and it has to do with marbles.

Players will have to assemble squads of multiple units – each with unique abilities – and they'll be displayed on the battlefield as marbles. In short, this is what would happen if Pokemon Pinball met Genshin Impact, and it's fantastic.

Cute Art Style

The reason why I compared this game to Genshin Impact should be immediately evident to anyone who has ever played a gacha game before. Much like in those addictive titles, one of the main points of Wander Hero is to collect fair maidens in the form of cards.

The artwork in these cards is always bright and colorful, with clear anime inspirations that wouldn't feel too out of place in a more risqué title. That said, the game is fairly tame, with only the standard levels of anime teasing providing a reasonable amount of fan service.

There's a good number of mercenaries to collect, each with unique abilities and original artwork. If you're a fan of collectathons, but don't want to spend your life savings on games like Genshin Impact, then Wander Hero is certainly the game for you.

An Expansive World

Once you begin your adventure, one of the first things you'll notice is that the world is randomly-generated. Once you try your hand at the many minigames Wander Hero has to offer, then it's time to begin your questing adventure.

Most of the secondary quests are also procedurally generated, meaning that there's a nearly endless amount of content to explore in Wander Hero. If that (and the anime girls) sounds appealing to you, then definitely consider giving this one a go.
