X Change

Today I am taking a look at X Change which is an adult visual novel game. I need to say right away that what we have here is certainly not a game that is suitable for work or those who are easily offended as it is pretty darn graphic! Still, if you like your visual novel games to be on the more “risqué” side if you know what I am saying this could be for you.

She’s The Man!

The premise of the story is kind of fun and one of the things that actually made me take notice. The main character is called, Takuya and he is a high school student with a keen interest in science. You are in the chemistry lab one day and you end up spilling something on yourself which somehow turns you into a girl! It is the kind of story that you could see being in some kind of cheesy Hollywood movie!

That is the basic premise of the game as you try and figure out your new “life” the game will see you either manage to turn yourself back into a dude or X Change will make things permanent and keep you as a girl. I think the presentation is quite good and as is the case with other games in this you can unlock CG artwork to view at your leisure as you play the game.

Ladies, Ladies, Ladies!

As you would expect from a visual novel there are plenty of characters, not just ladies actually, but dudes as well who you can get with as you progress through the game. The game plays like a traditional visual novel style game. You will encounter several different characters and along the way and of course, you will be having plenty of very graphic sex as you do!

X Change lets you make choices in the dialogue and these are what move the game along one of the many paths that it has. I was quite surprised at how short some of these paths were, the game does not mess around and as strange as it may sound. The actual sex in the game can be a little too much at the expense of the story.

I played through a few of the paths that the game had to offer and it was fun. One of the things I will say is that as the paths are quite short, you really have nothing to lose by jumping in and spending an hour or two with the game to see if you want to dive deeper into it. I think that X Change has a rather fun premise and if you are someone who wants a lot of adult content in their visual novel, I do not think you will be disappointed with what is on offer here.

Pros:

• I like the main character
• There is a lot of variety to the different characters
• The visuals are nice and clean
• Plenty of CG artwork to unlock
• You have many different choices you can make

Cons:

• The game does not hold back with the sex and it can sometimes feel too much
• It might be a tad short for some
