The Final Fantasy series created by Square Enix is one of the best-proven RPG (role-playing game) series of all time. Square Enix's Final Fantasy titles have had releases from the original Nintendo to today's newest systems. Final Fantasy X initially launched on the Play Station 2, with Final Fantasy X-2 releasing soon after. The remasted version of Final Fantasy X and X-2 initially launched on the PlayStation 3 but today are available for sale on the PlayStation 4 and the Steam marketplace for PC.

One of The Best

Final Fantasy X is a classic, one of the best Final Fantasy stories of all time. In Final Fantasy X-2, they updated the turn-based combat to a faster-paced combat rotation. Creating Final Fantasy X-2 with a quicker combat style began a new revolution of evolving its combat mechanics. Square Enix announced that they would be remastering both games to sell as a package.

Square Enix released the remastered version of the games worldwide in 2014 for the PS3, 2015 for the PS4, and 2016 for PC. At first, there was a small amount of talk within the community wishing the remastered versions would live up to their predecessors. Square Enix did not disappoint, and the community had an overwhelmingly positive assessment of the remastered versions.

"Final Fantasy X / X-2 Remastered" is a game designed to immerse the player into the world to enjoy the story and adventure that awaits you. If you like RPG games or are a fan of the Final Fantasy series, I would highly recommend this game to you. This game includes everything you love about the original Final Fantasy X and X-2, along with; additional content, music, and art that further evolves the game. It's one of the few remastered games which is better than the original. The only company besides Square Enix known to do this is Capcom with their Resident Evil series. They released remakes of several games that were already classics and improved on them; an excellent example would be the Resident Evil 2 remake. However, Square Enix raised the ceiling with remastered games after the "Final Fantasy X / X-2 Remastered" launch.

I would give "Final Fantasy X / X-2 Remaster" a perfect score. I'm an immense fan of the Final Fantasy franchise. I have played almost every title they've released and continue to play through "Final Fantasy XIV A Realm Reborn" every time they add a content update to the game. After playing almost every Final Fantasy game released, I can confidently say I would only give a handful of them a 10/10 rating, and "Final Fantasy X / X-2 Remastered" is one of them. Several factors went into my score. "Final Fantasy X - X2 Remastered" has one of the best stories in an RPG I've ever played. The updated combat style adds a new twist along with some unique original content. The updated graphics from the original PS2 version are very apparent, and the updated music plays to the player's emotions.
