I watched the trailer for Miss Neko: Pirates and I was 100 percent certain this was going to be one of the best lewd games of the year! It is a good game, but this could have been great with just a little bit more work on it. From what I understand the game is actually finished so I am not sure if the developer will come back and improve a few things. Do not get me wrong, this is still worth playing, but it is one of those games that you will have fun with, but the flaws are impossible to look past.

A Mutiny Like No Other

If you get a kick out of stories about pirates, Miss Neko: Pirates is sure to put a smile on your face as far as the premise of the game goes. We play as a pirate captain of the Lucky Coin and our crew turned on us, threw us overboard, and left us for dead! They should have made sure that we were actually dead as we are now back and looking for revenge, not to mention a whole lot of booty, and when I say booty I am meaning it in more ways than just one! That is right, I am a very clever wordsmith!

A Pirate Life For Me

Gameplay wise, Miss Neko: Pirates is a top down Vampire Saviors or Enter the Gungeon style of game, but lighter on the rogue like style of gameplay. We control our little pirate captain in a top down perspective. We start off with our pirate sword, but we get other weapons as we progress through the game. We need to kill everything that comes our way. There are some boss battles and secrets to find as well as making ourselves stronger as we go. It is a pretty solid idea, but the difficulty feels like it needs some balance as the game is either way too easy or too difficult which can lead to more than a few frustrating moments.

Polishing The Right Parts

Miss Neko: Pirates has a great premise and some fun ideas when it comes to the gameplay, but this is one of those games where I feel like the developer needed to finetune and polish a few things. To start with the dash roll is near impossible to use as when there are many enemies all coming at you, 99/100 it puts you into enemy fire! Also, the way you have to move stuff instead of just always smashing it when it is in your way is so frustrating. I already mentioned the uneven difficulty, but it can get very aggravating when it feels like the enemy has a real unfair advantage over you.

Now That Is Some Great Valuable Booty!

I love and I mean love the visual style of Miss Neko: Pirates! This game has so much personality when it comes to the presentation. I love the top down stuff, it is very smoothly drawn and while there are a few assets that seem to clip through others, for the most part, it has a fun pirate vibe that I enjoyed. The lewd content is out of this world! The stuff with you banging these pirate babes is so sexy and it is animated too. Jade was by far my favorite of the pirate babes and her sex scene was the hottest in the game in my humble opinion.

I will admit that this game does have some problems and to be honest with you I feel like the developer needs to come back and tighten up a few aspects of this game. If they were to do that, Miss Neko: Pirates is the kind of game that I could easily give 9/10 to! The premise is fun, the gameplay if it was balanced better would be so addictive and it already has a very cool and sexy art style that appeals to you pretty much right from the start.
