Sinisistar

Not many lewd or sex-filled games grab me in the same way that Sinisistar here did. Sometimes you come into a game like this for the hentai, the sex, the giant boobs or even the tentacles. That is here in this game, but what I liked about playing through this is that there is a damn fine game here that I found pretty captivating, so much so that I made it all the way through and would not be opposed to doing it again.

I Am Sent By The Church

Any game that has a kind of church vs monster’s vibe always gets me interesting in what is going on. That is the basics of the story we have in Sinisistar. You play the role of a badass chick called, Rabiane, she is a sister that has been instructed by the church to go to this forsaken place that is overrun by monsters and evil.

The story is not the deepest in the world, but the premise along more than got me invested in what was going on. While I do kind of wish that there was a tad more story, I must admit that my imagination ran wild with things so in that regard I do think the premise may be better than many people might give it credit for.

Sprite Me Baby!

The presentation of Sinisistar is very cool. The game uses 2D sprites and the work on these is truly amazing. Rabiane even when she is in 2D pixelated form is hot. The monsters though are absolutely grotesque and I love it! The game, of course, has many sex scenes and these can be very graphic as you would expect. If you are into that kind of thing, more power to you and you will not be disappointed. What I liked about it was that while they were here, I never felt they took away from the game. if anything, they work more in a game like this as it helps get the message across what a forsaken place you are in.

There is also a lot of detail in the various levels that you will be exploring. I was surprised by this, but in a very pleasant way. One minute you are in a super creepy forest that looks like death lurks behind every tree. The next you are in a vile sewer looking place that you can smell through the screen.

Die By My Blade Or Arrow!

The gameplay of Sinisistar is rather simple, but I like it. I would say that it is more like Super Castlevania IV than Castlevania Symphony of the Night and that is cool in my book. You traverse each level taking down monsters, fighting bosses and so on until you reach the end. It is basic, but I like this. I feel like I have played a million Metroidvania style games recently so seeing one that is taking things back basics is ok by me.

You can attack with your blade which is a close-range weapon or you can use arrows. I wasted my arrows at first, but these are a vital resource and I would advise that if you can kill something with your blade do it and save your arrows for harder enemies.

I loved every minute I spent with Sinisistar. As far as sex-filled games go I feel that this is one of the better ones out there. It is not holding back in terms of the lewdness at all, but at its core, this is a really cool game. I loved the setting, thought that Rabiane was a really cool character and I can easily see myself going back to play through this again.

• The hentai while very graphic does work in this world
• I liked the fast-paced combat
• Plenty of monster designs
• Some of the bosses are truly grotesque!

Cons:

• Might not be enough exploration for some
• The subject matter of the “church” may be a bit much for some people
