What is the Timeline of This Game?

This game first came out on the market on July 12,2017 when it was first released on Steam. The game was further released on Apple platforms on August 15, 2017 and it made its debut on Nintendo Switch later that year in December of 2017. It would not be for two years later that the game made its debut on PlayStation on April 30, 2019. Now that you know the game’s timeline, let’s take a look at who actually made the game and what it is all about.

Who Created The End is Nigh?

The game was developed and published by Edmund McMillen as well as his partner Tyler Glaiel. This was not McMillen’s first piece of work as the game was really a successor to his previous Super Meat Boy.

As for the game itself, it is a 2D pixelated game where you are controlling a small black object known as Ash. This game is a pretty unique game, because the entire thing is like a video game within a video game. You begin by playing in this 2D pixelated world until you die, which you then realize that you are actually controlling a boy named Ash that was playing that game all along.

What is the Plot of This Game?

It then takes a turn for the worse whenever you watch your character begin to write in his journal that his favorite video game is now broken. Of course this is sad, but what is more interesting is that he writes about being in an apocalypse and that he is the lone survivor of society. From there on out your goal is to travel the world to find other people and if possible restart the world. We will not ruin anymore of the game for you, but if you are into mysterious games then this is certainly the one for you. It does have over 600 different stories and twelve chapters that you will go through so it is not a small game by any means.
