Family Simulator

Today we are looking at a lewd game called Family Simulator 18 which I have spent a bit of time with recently. I actually came across this by complete accident and ended up getting pretty into it. Think of it as a lewd slice of life style of game and you will be on the right track with what to expect here. I know that the whole “family dynamic” is not for everyone, but I do think this game does it quite well and overall, I had a decent time with this and wanted to share my thoughts.

All In The Family

No, I am not coming here to talk about all the nasty incest stuff that goes down in Family Simulator 18…. Perhaps we will get to that later! What I am here to talk to you about is that this is a game where family and us having a dream family life is the main focus. It is kind of weird in that we are some kind of actor who wants this dream family life and we want to do whatever we can in order to make it happen. The game I feel could do a better job of explaining things a bit better, but to be fair, I get the impression English is not the developer's first language.

Doing What You Have To Do

While what we have here with Family Simulator 18 is a lewd game, it to me felt like it was more focused on doing the mundane things of family life and building the story around that. For example, making sure that there is food and dinner is ready, taking the kids to school, and so on. Slice of life is probably the best way to describe it as I said earlier, but I feel like they might have gone a step too far with making the everyday reality of real life be the focus of things here. To be fair, I am sure this will be something that some people really like about the game.

Keeping Up Appearances

For those who have played any kind of lewd adventure game visual novel style hybrid, you will know what you are in for with Family Simulator 18. Making sure people are fed, happy, and well rested and that your finances are in order are all things that you will have to keep an eye on here. As you would expect, there is a bit of grinding that needs to be done here, but there is nothing too frustrating that you have to deal with. It does what it does rather well, it is just what it does is not all that exciting.

So Real To Me!

The presentation of Family Simulator 18 is one of the most impressive aspects of the game. It is not going to blow you away or anything like that. However, I liked the realistic looking character renders and I appreciated how the younger characters did not look like they were too young jail bait like some other games that go for this kind of setting sometimes do. In all, it may not be the best looking lewd game that I have played, but it is perfectly serviceable.

Pros:

• I liked the premise of being some kind of actor
• The family dynamic is done quite well
• They have gone for a realistic kind of presentation
• It does not take too long to get through

Cons:

• While it is certainly not bad, it is just kind of bland
• I wish that it had a bit more excitement in the story
