Glitches and Bitches

Like many of you guys, Glitches and Bitches is a game that I was drawn to because of the awesome title the game has. What we have here is a sandbox lewd visual novel style game with a sci-fi cyberpunk story that I think could be something extra special when the game is complete. Which I guess, I do have to address right here, the current version of the game is not the final build, think of what we have here as some kind of demo or a chapter one and you will have a much better time.

A Secret Buried Within

At the moment, Glitches and Bitches does not have a whole lot going on with the story as there is a lot still to come. However, the premise here is great and something that I do feel could be pretty epic if it lives up to the premise. Our main character is an android that awakens, but this is no normal android, you see, this android is hiding a secret in her code that makes her the most wanted android in the city.

Vortex City

A huge part of the appeal of the story Glitches and Bitches is promising for me is the setting of Vortex City. It kind of reminds me of the city that was in the Alita Battle Angel movie. You have various districts and things can be very dangerous here. The game lets us navigate the city and I am pretty excited for them to flesh out each of the three districts in the game with even more locations. However, even if they left it as is, the city is large enough and varied enough to still make it a major highlight of the game.

Avoiding The Pitfalls!

You may remember that in the intro of this Glitches and Bitches review I did say that this is a sandbox style lewd visual novel game. That can sometimes be a bad thing, but to be fair, what is here is done very well. You have three main love interests, a male, a female, and a futa style one so there is something here for everyone. There are also plenty of side stories (and hookups) that happen as well. There is a bit of griding here, but it is not bad at all and the exploration stuff here is not too convoluted either so I think that they are certainly on the right track when it comes to the gameplay here.

Not Much, But Showing Promise

There is not a ton to the game as of me writing this Glitches and Bitches review, but what is here is pretty good. I think that the outer shots of the city are great and certainly give you that sci-fi/cyberpunk kind of vibe that the story is about. However, some of the scenes that take place inside look like they could be from a “realistic” looking story so that is perhaps something they could work on. The little bit of lewd content here that I have seen is done very well so I am interested to see what more they have to add as the game continues its development.

Pros:

• I am loving the setting of Vortex City
• The whole game has some major unlimited potential
• I liked how there are three very different main love interests
• The gameplay takes the best stuff from a sandbox lewd visual novel and does it well

Cons:

• It seems like forever since this game was initially released!
• The current build of the game is very light on content and there has been nothing mentioned about the next update
