Revenga

While it will not win any awards, Revenga is a game that still entertained me and as I finished the game over the weekend, I wanted to get my thoughts on the game out there. This is a lewd, well I have heard it described as a lewd adventure game, but I would say that this certainly feels more like a lewd visual novel as it is very linear and easy to play through. Anyway, we are going to take a closer look at this and see why despite it not being perfect, I still got a kick out of it.

Coming Back Home!

Our main character is a real man, Revenga is not a game where you will be playing as some pussy whipped kind of dude! We get word that our dad is sick, like really sick, so sick things are not looking good for him. Of course, we have to return home to try and look after dear old dad, but we are coming home not just with love in our heart for our dad, but revenge in our minds for our stepmother!

Revenge Is A Dish Best Served Nude!

The characters in Revenga are freaking hilarious and I cannot decide if this is intentional or if the game is trying to play it straight. Anyway, the stepmother and your two step sisters are the villains of this story and they are so funny. It is like they are comical bumbling villains from a cartoon. From the hokey dialogue and stuff, they say and do, to the brain dead decisions that they make. I found them hilarious, actually, I found most of the stuff here hilarious, but again, I am not sure this was intentional. I can see why some people may not like this, but I found it very funny and it kept me wanting to play.

Just Going Through The Motions

The gameplay that makes up Revenga is about as basic as you can get. This is like you are just reading a story and if you do not like the ridiculous and cringy story that is being presented here, the “gameplay” is sure as hell not going to keep you playing. We just follow the story and it goes where it wants to go. As I said, this is more like a visual novel than anything else and not an all that interactive one either and while I do not mind this, I can see why it is not for everyone.

Made You Look!

Did I really just drop a reference to a current pop song? I did and I am ashamed of myself for doing so. Anyway, the character renders in Revenga are awesome! They have gone for a more realistic look to the characters and it is great. I will say that the facial designs of the characters sometimes can be a little off, but for the most part, these are very good looking characters. I like the use of lingerie and clothing here and found that hotter than when a chick was just naked. There is more oral sex than anything else on offer here, but I did not mind that at all.

Pros:

• The main character is not your typical wimpy dude
• The stepmom and stepsisters are freaking hilarious!
• The character renders are very well done
• The story is so bad, it was good

Cons:

• Some may think the story is just straight up bad!
• The game is very linear and there may not be as much penetration as some people would like
