Wasteland Lewdness

You know, I can see Wasteland Lewdness being the kind of game that you love or you hate, no middle ground here. This is a HTML style lewd game where it is mostly text with the odd bit of art here and there. I found the game to be pretty interesting and ended up spending more time with it than I thought I would. I know why this kind of game is not going to appeal to everyone, but after spending some considerable time with it, I wanted to share my thoughts on the game with you.

This Is The End Of The World!

With a title like Wasteland Lewdness, you pretty much know right off the bat that what you are getting is a game set in a post apocalyptic world. This is a setting I have played in many video games over the years and this game does it very well. There were nuclear bombs that were dropped and most of the world has perished and most of those who survived turned into murderous rapist beasts! We play as a guy who has been surviving in one of the few sanctuaries left in the world.

Sometimes You Can’t Look Back!

Considering how bad the world in Wasteland Lewdness is, our main character has actually managed to live out as good a life as one possibly can in this hell hole of a world. However, that all changes one day as he is forced to leave the safety of his sanctuary and embark on a quest for survival and something else, that could be key to his survival. Honestly, the writing here is pretty damn good and I found it to be a fun and rather brutal sci-fi kind of survival story.

Always With A Purpose

I know that these HTML style games are not going to be for everyone as they can feel very old school and some just do not find this kind of gameplay exciting. However, I feel that Wasteland Lewdness does it better than most. There are many quests that you go on and I think the game does a good job of moving the player forward with a purpose. There is a fair bit of griding and a RNG aspect to the game too which I did not mind, but to be fair, I can see why this would be a rather big turn off for some people out there.

Is The Squeeze Worth The Juice?

You know, that is a saying I use all the time, but for the life of me, I cannot remember what movie I heard it from! The point I am making here is that as Wasteland Lewdness is an HTML style game, there is not exactly a lot of “graphics” in the game. The sex content you see is all hand drawn and very good, but it is rather infrequent and I can see why some people may feel like the grind for the XXX content is not worth it. For me, I actually liked the story, so when I did get to see some of that art, I took it as a bonus.

As I have said multiple times, I can see why Wasteland Lewdness is a game that does have people either liking or just straight up hating it. There is no middle ground here, you either like games like this or you do not. For me, I had fun with this, I liked the story, and the old school RPG style gameplay and found it to be a fun adventure through a pretty messed up post apocalyptic world.

Pros:

• I thought the story was very interesting
• The gameplay was something that I enjoyed
• The little bits of art that I did see were very well done
• If you like HTML style games, you will probably enjoy this

Cons:

• Games like this are certainly not going to appeal to everyone
• I wish that there was just a little bit more lewd art in the game
