Back To The Cabin

I think that Back To The Cabin is a game that has a great deal of promise and with a bit of tightening up, I am pretty sure this could go from being just barely good to being very good. I grew up in Scotland so I am no stranger to camping trips in the woods so I got a kick out of the premise of this game…. granted, none of my camping trips were quite as lewd as this, but you get what I am saying.

A Friend In Need

I do have to warn you that the story Back To The Cabin is telling is a very, very slow burn kind of game. There is a great deal of dialogue here and I can see some people losing interest before anything hot goes down. We play as a guy that is trying to help a friend get over a loss. You want to be there for her, but there are chicks in this area that need some loving and you are just the guy to give it to them. The hot mom is by far the standout character in this story if you ask me.

Making All The Right Moves

What we have here in terms of the gameplay in Back To The Cabin is that of a lewd sandbox style game. You have many visual novel elements where you have to interact with the characters and pick the right response. However, part of the trouble here is that these characters like to talk a great deal so it can be very hard to pay attention the whole time. You do also have to click around, be at certain places at certain times which is typical for a game like this. It does make you wait for the lewd content, but that can make it more rewarding when it does happen.

Hunting For Deer And Chicks!

While the gameplay is best described as a lewd visual novel. Back To The Cabin does also have this kind of shooting mini game. Now before you get excited, you do not get free reign with a gun to go hunting. However, it is a nice change of pace and it does add a bit more to the gameplay so I do give the developer a great deal of credit for adding this into the game. It may not be much, but it does make a difference.

This Hot Mom Has Got It Going On

I had to double check when this game was released while I was playing it. The reason I say that is because, Back To The Cabin has the look of a game that came out around five or so years ago. The various locations are fine, but the character renders are a real mixed bag. The mom is the best-looking character by far, but she along with the rest of the cast have a rather strange look to them that makes them look very artificial. Also, the “animated” sex scenes are nothing more than static pictures that move and this is a practice I feel should be outlawed in modern lewd games!

Pros:

• I liked the idea of being in the woods
• The mom is a pretty awesome character
• It is neat how there is a hunting mini-game to break things up
• I do feel that there is a good story in here somewhere

Cons:

• The dialogue is way too long winded in places
• The game needs a really good bit of polish applied to the visuals
