I am pretty surprised that I had never heard of or played HaremMate until now. This is brought to us by illusion, but this was released all the way back in 2016 and you can tell that they were just starting to figure out how to make 3D lewd games. It is not terribly by any means, but I get the impression that this is more of a tech demo or a proof of concept for something bigger to follow. Still, I had a fun time messing around with this and I do think it is worth checking out.

All The Ladies!

If there is some kind of plot running through HaremMate, I sure as heck could not figure out what it was. The best that I can gather here is that you want to have a harem of sexy girls and you are willing to do anything in order to make that happen. To be fair, I found that it got straight to the point and you did not have to wait around too long for new girls to be added to play around with so I give it a lot of credit for that.

The (Sex) Sims

The gameplay on offer here in HaremMate is basically that of a sex simulator. You have plenty of girls that you can play around with and you can use toys, have the dude actually have sex with them and you can even have a bit of group sex fun as well. The game has different control options on the screen for you. One side will give you various options in regards to the clothing that is being worn. You have one on the other side that lets you select what position, toys, sex and so on that you are having. It is quite basic, to be honest with you, but at least they give you a lot of choice in regards to what you are seeing on the screen.

Illusion Evolution

Visually I am sure people who have never heard of this game may give HaremMate one look and say nope. It is not a horrible looking game or anything, but as I write this, this game is the better part of ten years old and it certainly shows its age. The characters have a rather cartoon and rough look to them. However, I do think that many of the animations hold up very well. The only thing I am not a massive fan of is during the sex scenes I was messing with one of the options and the dude went transparent and had a blue penis… I am still not sure how I managed to make this happen, but I did not like it.

I have to say that HaremMate is not a terrible one, but I do think we have had many better games of this style since this was released. If you are a fan of Illusion, I do think that this is worth giving a try as it is an older game from them. There is some fun to be had here, but to be honest with you I am not sure this is a game that I will be going back to for another try.
