In Your Shoes

As soon as I read the description of what In Your Shoes was, I knew that this was a game that I needed to dedicate a bit of time to. The game is fully complete so there is no waiting around for that next update with this one which is always something I consider a huge plus. What drew me to the game was the story as it reminded me of a TV show (well kind of) that I used to watch back in the day. It is a decent lewd visual novel that is particularly great if you have a liking for the more mature lady.

One Soul At A Time

The premise really is fantastic and, in some ways, In Your Shoes reminds me of the show, Quantum Leap. We play as a guy that gets killed and he happens to end up in hell. Once in hell, a demon makes a deal with him where he will return to Earth to help people who are about to commit suicide. I think that this is such a great idea for a story and while there are certainly some cool moments, I have to say that because of the rather poor translation and grammar issues, some of it does end up kind of lost and not making complete sense. Still, as a premise, I really dig what the developer is going for here.

Like A Drifter In The Night

I must admit that I got kind of a kick out of the scraggy way our protagonist in, In Your Shoes looks. He looks like a drifter that goes from town to town solving problems. Anyway, the visuals in the game are ok. I like more mature ladies so I got a kick out of how many there were in the game, but there are plenty of other types of ladies for you to admire in this game too. The animation quality I will admit is not the best, but I would still take this over static pictures any day. In all, not a bad effort at all when it comes to the presentation of the game.

Saving People Is Straightforward

The gameplay of In Your Shoes is something that I would probably describe more as a visual novel than anything else. Yes, there are sandbox elements where you can click on places, but you do not have to worry about a bunch of stat grinding or anything like that. The game starts off really strong with that very engaging and interesting premise. However, I do think that towards the final act, it is like they lost a lot of steam and were not sure of how to end it as some character arcs are just kind of forgotten and you never really find out what happened to everyone. I know I said the game was finished, but I would not be against one extra chapter that wraps up everyone’s story that you came across in the game.

Pros:

• The idea of the story being told here is very intriguing
• I liked the main character
• There are some really hot looking older ladies in this game
• It is very easy to play through

Cons:

• The story loses a lot of momentum the more it goes on
• The game has a really rough around the edges feel in pretty much every regard
