Rosas are Red

Rosas Are Red is a fantastic lewd dating sim and visual novel game with one of the most likable love interests I have had the pleasure to pursue in a lewd game. I was pretty much in on this from the start and it did not disappoint. I read a few reviews before I played it and they all said that the ending fell kind of flat so I went into this with that in mind. I am happy to say that by the time I got to my first ending, I did not think that it was disappointing at all. Granted, I can see why some did, but I think that it fits the tone of the game perfectly, to be honest with you.

Finding Love

The premise of Rosas Are Red is that we are on this online dating app/hang out thing and we come across a very cute girl called Rosa. We start chatting back and forth and ultimately start to develop a relationship with this girl. It can go in a few ways, you can actually fall for each other, have it just be about sex, or even have her be a kind of sub to you. I liked the love route best as it felt like the most authentic experience. As well as Rosa, she has this punk looking friend who is also pretty cool and also hot as well!

When I Knew They Had Me

The way that the story in Rosas Are Red unfolds is all through your phone. You communicate with Rosa via text messages and her voicemails. The way that it can take a little bit of time in between messages is so clever and will be what ultimately decides if this game grabs you or not. I found myself thinking “why is she taking so long to call or text?” that was when I knew that this story they had crafted was so great as it was like I had an actual crush on this chick and I was so desperate for her to get back in touch with me. Rosa is the perfect girl. She is cute and shy, but she also has a sexy side too and when she gets comfortable with you, she lets her freak flag fly if you know what I am saying.

Time After Time

While there is a lot of naughtiness going on in Rosas Are Red, I would say that this felt more like a love story kind of game to me. Rosa is not scared about sharing lewd pictures with you and the horny voice mails she leaves are super hot and fun. The game looks fantastic in every regard and Rosa is cute, sexy and nerdy all rolled into one and it is impossible not to fall for her. While the game looks great, it is the voice acting of Rosa and her punk rock friend that really sealed the deal with this experience for me. The voice acting is fun, real and sometimes even raw in places. It made for one of the most engaging dating sim style games that I had ever played.

Is It Love Or Is It Lust?

When it comes to what Rosas Are Red is like to play, dating sim is the way to think of thing. The game takes place through your phone and you have to reply to messages, pick the right thing to say and do. You also have a fun cat mini-game that is like a virtual pet type thing. You need to look after this pussy to get… you get the idea! There are different ways that the story can go with three different relationship types to have with Rosa. While I will see the other two, for me the love story route is the real route of this game. However, I do think the other ways the story can go could be fun as well.
