Today we are taking a closer look at Subverse which is a lewd game with a difference. This is going to be a mainstream release and it is even getting released on STEAM so you know this is a pretty big deal. While the game is not released just yet, I thought it would be cool if we took a closer look at it and see why it is one of the most interesting lewd adult games in quite some time.
To Boldly Go!
The game has a sci-fi setting and it is pretty damn awesome. The basics of the story from what we know so far is that you are the captain of a badass ship called The Mary Celeste. You are on a quest all over the galaxy as you try to fill your ship with sexy alien babes who are willing to help you go around the galaxy and also make sure you are very satisfied if you know what I am saying.
The story looks pretty epic so far and I like how they are playing it seriously and I am very interested to see just how good this ends up being. Too many lewd games do the bare minimum with the story, but this is not one of those games.
Like A Movie… A XXX Movie
One of the first things that captures your attention with Subverse is the visuals. This has the look of a AAA game and it is very, very impressive. I am not just talking about the lewd aspect of it either. The whole game has a level of polish that you normally do not see in an adult game.
As far as the ladies go, so far, we know that there are 9 alien babes that are wanting to be part of your crew. The lewdness has not been showcased yet, but it is fair to say that I and most other folks who have followed this game can’t wait to see these space babes in all their glory. The game is also going to be fully voice-acted with some very high-quality voice acting.
Space Ace
I will admit that at first, I thought for sure Subverse was going to be some kind of visual novel game. While the narrative is strong in the game, it is the overall gameplay that I am most excited for. The game has a shoot em up section where you get to fly your craft around taking down other ships and stuff that you come across. It has a real old-school flair about it and it looks pretty neat.
As well as the shoot em up aspect of the game, you also have turn based battles. These look like they are the perfect blend of strategy and fun and I am quite excited to get into it. The game has a lot of variety to the gameplay and that is what is going to make this appeal to such a wide range of people I am sure.
I have to be honest and say that I am very excited for Subverse to be released and if you are too, go and throw the guys a few bucks over on Kickstarter to help them out. Yes, the game is very lewd, but it is far more than just giant alien boobs. This is a game that has a lot of fun gameplay aspects too and I cannot wait to sink my teeth into it when it is finally released.
Pros
- The game looks like a million bucks
- It has shoot 'em up gameplay
- It also has turn based strategy style gameplay too
- Lots of hot alien babes for you to hook up with
- The game looks great
Cons
- No word on a release date just yet
- Just how lewd will it get?

Game Reviews
Subverse is a lewd game that mixes in a bunch of different genres, but it is mostly about these sci-fi turn based battles. This is a game that has been in development for a very long time! It got a mass release in 2024, but I am pretty sure I first played this three or so years ago! It is known for its fantastic visuals and the XXX content is really the highlight here, but if you are into lewd sci-fi I am pretty sure that you will have a lot of fun with this as it does have some fun with the sci-fi tropes that we know and love.
A Motley, But Very Hot Crew!
As I love stuff like Star Trek, the story of Subverse was something that I thought was a lot of fun. I was kind of shocked at just how much story there was here, but the basics of what is going down are that we are a space captain and we are looking to add in a bunch of hot space babes to our crew so that we can travel the galaxy. It is about as typical sci-fi as you can get but that is something I got a huge kick out of and had a lot of fun with. The character relationships are what really drive the plot and I highly recommend that you do not skip it.
A Big Beefy Tale
You are looking at a lot of hours if you want to fully embrace the story that Subverse is trying to tell. The thing here is that I have heard a lot of people say that they skipped over the story just to get to the lewd content, but trust me when I tell you, this is a mistake. If you do get invested in the story and build up a relationship with these characters, the story has a lot more weight to it and you will get a great deal more out of it. I legit had a lot of fun with the story and I could tell that the developer was a huge sci-fi nerd like I am.
Now This Is My Kind Of Crew
Since I first saw Subverse a few years back, the one thing that everyone could agree on is that the game looked fantastic. The XXX content here is awesome and there are a bunch of hot sci-fi/alien looking babes. These range from a demonic alien chick who by far was my favorite, to a furry looking fox who is so hot, I may have to class this as a furry porn game too. The quality of the animation in the game is also incredible and there was honestly not a single lewd scene that I did not think was hot. While I was interested in the story, it was the lewd content that kept pushing me forward as I wanted to unlock the next XXX scene! As well as looking amazing, the sound design is also great, including some pretty hot voice acting.
Grinding Your Way Through Space
The biggest complaint that I have heard in regards to Subverse is that the game forces you to do the same thing over and over again and to be fair, that is kind of true. You have some visual novel style gameplay, but you also have turn based battles that are done on a grid-based system and you also have these space battles as well. These are both fun, but the trouble is and to be fair, I can see why this may be too much for some people, is that you have to do these two “mini-games” hundreds of times as you get to the end of the game and that is not an exaggeration, you literally do these two things countless times in order to get the stuff you need to unlock the XXX scenes.
I had a blast playing through Subverse and now that it is complete, in looking back on how hyped I was when I first played this, I do feel that it has managed to live up to my expectations. I get that the two gameplay styles you have to constantly do may grow old for some people, especially considering how long the game is. However, I never got bored, I had a blast and really enjoyed my time with this one, and highly recommend that you play it.
Pros:
- This game truly looks phenomenal
- There is a lot of variety to the design of the space babes
- I found the two mini-games to be well-designed and fun
- I got a kick out of the sci-fi story
Cons:
- Some people say that they feel the game is too repetitive
- This is a game that does demand a lot of time from the player
