YARISUTEMESUBUTA -PUMP & DUMP-

YARISUTEMESUBUTA～PUMP & DUMP～ is a monster hunting lewd RPG that completely blew me away. I came into this expecting the usual kind of lewd RPG that I have played a million times before, but there is just something about this game that ticks all the boxes of what I want in a lewd RPG. This game is actually complete so you do not have to worry about this getting new content several months down the line. This is a wild and fun adventure that you can go on from start to end and I was so invested in the game and the story that I beat it in just a couple of sittings.

Say My Name

Nope, I am not channeling my secret love for the 90s Destiny’s Child hit single, but I do want to talk a little about why YARISUTEMESUBUTA～PUMP & DUMP～ may have a bit of familiarity for you. Nope, it is not just because this could be in the Pokémon porn games section. It is because this game is known by two other titles and that is as far as I am aware, it could be even more for I know. However, I do know for a fact that the games that are titled, Yarimon and Yarimono are pretty much the exact same game as this one.

100th Time Is The Charm

I will admit, I was not expecting a great deal from the story with YARISUTEMESUBUTA～PUMP & DUMP～, but it is so awesome. We play as a loser Yarimon (think Pokémon and you will get the idea) trainer who has lost 99 battles in a row against their childhood friend. Well, our partner Yarimon has somehow developed a new move called the cheat tackle which will deliver a devastating blow that can one shot some other monsters! Using this, we win our first ever battle and we are given the equivalent of a Pokedex and we set out on a wild adventure to face the gym leader and capture as many Yarimon as we can. Yes, the story is very, very Pokémon, but there is more than enough of its own thing to make it interesting if you have played Pokémon to death.

Wait, There Is More!

So I was progressing through YARISUTEMESUBUTA～PUMP & DUMP～ really well and having a great time in the process. This plays like the first generation of Pokémon games, think Pokémon Red and Pokémon Blue. You have these turn based battles that are more about having fun than being really challenging and I am more than ok with that. There is a decent level of exploration here, but like the combat, not so much that it becomes too challenging and loses its fun. What really surprised me with the game that was when I beat it, there was a whole bunch of post game content that fleshed out the lore and gave me loads more to do! It sounds like such a cop out and a very lazy and easy comparison to make, but if you enjoy the Game Boy, Game Boy Color, and Game Boy Advance Pokémon games…. And if you love XXX games, you will have a lot of fun with this game.

The True Next Level!

Visually, at first glance, you may think that YARISUTEMESUBUTA～PUMP & DUMP～ is just another Pokémon porn game type of game, and while there is certainly a degree of truth to that. This game has some of the most amazing monster designs I have seen, clearly, some are based on Pokémon and other well known creatures from other games, but there is a lot of originality here and the way that the characters evolve and will change their form is just so well done! The walking around and exploration is done in a retro pixel art style, but the battles are done with far more detailed sprites and they look great. The game also boasts some pretty hot XXX content and has a more anime vibe about it.

Pros:

• The story grabbed me right from the start
• There are some very quirky and interesting characters to meet
• The old school Pokémon gameplay was a lot of fun
• While the game can be challenging, it is more about having fun

Cons:

• The whole name thing is super confusing and I have no idea what the deal is
• If you are not into Pokémon style RPGs, this is not for you
