Lust of Pain

Lust of Pain is a lewd visual novel that is very heavy on the “novel” part. Let me get this out of the way right away, this is more of a kinetic lewd visual novel, I think if you know that going in, you will probably have a lot more fun with it and be able to overlook some of the issues the game has. It does have some fantastic looking character renders and that alone may be enough to get you through the game. The horndog in me was sold as soon as I saw the mom character in a thong!

As Dom Says, “It’s All About Family”

The plot of Lust of Pain is certainly something that many of us lewd game aficionados have experienced before. We play as a main character who has to move in with his father, stepmother, and stepsister after his mother died many years ago. I do think that the twist here is that the MC is kind of still dealing with that pain. However, he ends up trying to make a life for himself and ends up getting into some rather interesting situations with his step family. It is the kind of story that you have seen before in a lewd game, but I do think they try a few interesting things.

That Song Stuck In My Head

The writing in Lust of Pain is all over the place and that is mainly due to the translation. This is a very hard story to follow, but at least you can get the gist. Now what kept me going with the story was the various pop culture references that were thrown in, we straight up here the MC saying song lyrics and I found that to be hilarious and awesome, but at the same time why is this here? I could see how if you are not a pop culture enthusiast like I am this would be off-putting and seem so out of left field, but what can I say, I dug it and it was easily the highlight of the story for me, especially as the story was all over the place to begin with! To be honest I am not certain if it is a translation issue or if the developer did not know what kind of tone they wanted to go for.

Clicking It

When it comes to what is going on with the gameplay in Lust of Pain there is not exactly a great deal that you need to worry about. I know I insinuated that this was a kinetic lewd visual novel, but that is being a bit harsh as the game does throw some choices your way as you are playing it. The thing is, I am pretty sure that none of the choices matter all that much as you end up going where the game wants you to go. I honestly think that you could just click random stuff and you are still going to progress. To be fair, if you want a lewd game where you can turn your brain off, this is exactly the kind of thing that you are looking for as far as the gameplay goes.

No Nisse, You Are Perfect!

I really like most of the character designs that Lust of Pain has going on, Nisse is by far my favorite chick, even if she is a bit harsh on her self and the short scene with her in her thong and a green shirt is so hot, even though she is not actually naked! The lewd content in the game is great and the quality of the animation is very smooth. I found that the game was very generous with the lewd content and I never felt like I was waiting too long to see the good stuff. Even the stuff that the ladies wear in their everyday lives is pretty hot.

Pros:

• I liked the song lyrics that would pop up
• There are some fun pop culture references
• The XXX scenes are awesome and the characters are all attractive

Cons:

• The story is hard to follow and the tone is all over the place
• There is not much actual gameplay on offer here

Lust of Pain is an erotic visual novel that immerses the player in the depressing world of the main character's soul, suffering from mental torment after a failed relationship. The first serious love and affection, the first relationship that led to marriage and the first breakup that will never be forgotten. Problems pile up on the protagonist with a snowball, but he still has time to feel the warmth of other people.
