Rance VI

At the time it was released, Rance VI was the biggest game in the series and offered far more than what came before it. This is a pretty massive dungeon crawler RPG that of course is not shy about sharing some lewdness with you. If you want a lewd experience that is also a full video game experience too, I highly recommend that you check this one out.

Rance You Rascal!

The story of the game is something that I had a great deal of fun with. The story of the game does not take itself too seriously and that is something I always get a kick out of. The land of Zeth is a bit of a strange place. It is a place that is filled with mages and these mages look down their nose at the normal folk. Rance VI sees Rance being captured by mages and his own mage being rewarded while he is punished.

Rance is not happy with this so he teams up with this group of freedom fighters called The Ice Flame. He is not just joining these to show these mages who is boss, he is joining this group because it is stacked with sexy ladies that he wants to get it on with. Rance is not a hero! He is not even what you would describe as an anti-hero, he is just a bit of an asshole, but that is what makes him so interesting to play as.

A Product Of Its Time

I have to be honest and say that when it comes to the visuals, Rance VI is a bit of a mixed bag. I will start with the good that the game has to offer in terms of its visuals. The artwork and CG sex stuff is fantastic and very high-quality. There is a lot of variety here and most of it is done incredibly well, just as good as more modern games. The sprites in the battles are also done very well and have a decent look to them all.

Where the game shows its age is with the dungeon crawling portions. These are done from the first person as you would expect. There is a great variety of places you will be going ranging from a dark and dank dungeon to an art gallery. It is just that when you are walking around in the first-person these areas feel rather empty and basic.

You will be spending most of your time moving around the dungeons and getting into various battles. There is a lot of exploration on offer here, but I like how the game is quite fast-paced. You have close to 20 different characters that you can have join your team and you can have six in a battle at a time. You have a line on the front and a line at the back and you have to use a bit of strategy in how you will attack. I liked how they give all your characters XP after a battle which keeps your team all moving forward.

The sex stuff in the game is pretty good. Not only is it hot, by banging your sexy teammates, you are also improving their relationship with you which is pretty fun. You are easily looking at anywhere between 30 to 50 hours in this game so it is a very full experience and none of it feels like it is filler either which I like.

Pros:

• I liked the artwork in the game
• The sex stuff is great!
• You have a lot of characters you can choose from
• It is going to take you a long time to get through

Cons:

• Some people might not like Rance’s douchebag attitude
• It makes the older games redundant
