Son of a Rich

I will admit that I did not come into Son of a Rich with the highest of expectations! It was actually the fun pun of a title that made me decide to give the game a try and I am glad that I did! The game is not yet completed and while some sites say that it is abandoned, it is my understanding that the developer does plan to come back to it at some point. I enjoyed my time with the game so it will be one that I certainly come back to if it ever does get updated.

The Swanky Life

The story of Son of a Rich is actually better than I thought it would be. We play as the son of a rich dude and we get to live one hell of an affluent life. One day our dad passes away and that changes our whole world considerably. I do not want to go into spoiler territory as the story is the best part of this game. However, our MC will have to try and move on with his life, have fun and of course hook up with the ladies of the city too!

Game Over!!!

Ok, so I might be being a bit harsh here as this could be because the game is not yet complete. However, Son of a Rich has a pretty annoying thing where if you pick a wrong choice you are greeted with a game over screen! It feels way too harsh, like why have a choice in the game that is going to abruptly end it. To be fair, you can usually tell what choice you are supposed to pick, but I would still like to see this be something that is taken away. Apart from that, it is your typical lewd visual novel game and one that has more good than bad if I am being honest.

I See Girls!

I am very impressed with the presentation of Son of a Rich. There are some great looking female character models in the game and I like how there is a lot of variety in the way that they look as well. The city the game is set in is very well detailed and while he looks weird, I got a real kick out of The Old Man character who is white, but is sporting a Chinese style mustache. The game also has some good sound too, not just the soundtrack, but there are sound effects here and there which I was surprised to hear.

Move Just A Little Bit More

While there are not a ton of XXX scenes in the build of Son of a Rich that I played, the ones that are here do have animation. The sex in this game is great and very well done, but the animation I feel could have done with being looped just a couple of seconds more. Again, this could be something that gets improved with an update.

Pros:

• I like the way the story is going
• The MC is a pretty interesting (and weird) kind of dude
• I liked how different the girls look
• This could be a fantastic visual novel once it is finished

Cons:

• I hate getting a game over, it feels way too harsh
• There is no word on when or if a new update will be coming
