But life at home beats under her breath with her taxes and utility bills. The rent for a rudimentary apartment in a slum is rising, and the paycheck doesn't budge. A simple masseuse in a salon, with no family around and no reliable friends. How does Kate survive in this new world and find happiness?

Throughout the game, you'll have to care for your heroine and fulfill her basic needs. This system is a bit like The Sims, but Kate's basic needs include:

• Sleep
• Hygiene
• Sexual activity and partying

Although half of the list was in The Sims series of games, the last item is peculiar only to Insexcity. Kate needs her needs fulfilled, as they directly affect her mood level and thus her life. Poor hygiene will leave Kate out of work and money for a day. Sleeping after parties always lasts one hour longer and there is a chance of sleeping through work time.

Kate's mood affects more on the options for interacting with other characters, since in addition to caring for the heroine the game serves as an erotic novel, then interacting with potential partners is necessary.
