Slow Damage

Not many lewd visual novels have gripped me the way that Slow Damaged managed to do! This is a truly spectacular game, one of the best as a matter of fact and I am so glad that I had a few days off to really dedicate to this game as I got hooked on it! This is a very deep, dark, disturbing, and violent kind of lewd visual novel. I would actually put this right near the top of the best “boys” lewd games that I have ever played, to be honest with you, I was that impressed with it.

A City Of The Future!

Look, I will admit that my description of the story that Slow Damage is telling may be a bit on the light side, but there is a good reason for that. You see, this game has such a great story, a story set in a future that is pretty messed up. It takes place in Japan, but in a place called, Shinkoumi that has actually broken off from the main country and operates as its own place. It is pretty much a gangster run place full of violence and people looking to live out their hedonistic desires.

Towa: A Man With Many Depths

The main character in Slow Damage and the character we play as is a young man called Towa and holy crap does he take you on a wild, emotional, and disturbing ride. He is an artist that brings out people’s darkest desires, but this thrusts him into something even darker than the life is living right now. He is such a complex character with him self harming and having some very dark desires. The story was so well written that at the start, I was not so sure how to take this guy, but by the end, I kind of felt sorry for him.

Pure Style, Pure Coolness!

I think I am going to have to say that Slow Damage is one of the best looking boy's lewd games that I have ever played. The whole style of this game is something that had me right from the start. The character designs, this rather dark and funky world and just the whole vibe of the game is awesome. It has a kind of Persona vibe to it all and I was completely sucked in. The game has some great animation too and I am not just talking about how hot the guys are! Just little things in the portraits, when people talk, make them have so much more personality. Now, some of the stuff can be violent and gore filled here so it is not for those that are easily offended. I do also want to mention that this game has some great voice acting that helps make these characters seem even more alive.

In It For The Long Haul!

To say that Slow Damage is a rather long game is a massive understatement. You are looking at many, many hours if you want to see all of the routes that this game has. While I called it a lewd visual novel in the intro, it is more than just that. You will need to do a bit of exploration as you pick where you want to go. You also need to do these interrogation type scenes as well which are more like your standard lewd visual novel gameplay, but a bit more intense. I will admit, that I found these a bit confusing and when I go back to play the game again, I think I might use a guide so I can get to where I want the story to go.

Pros:

• Towa is such an interesting protagonist
• The game has many interesting and unique characters to interact with
• I loved the art and style of the game
• The game is will take you a very long time to complete

Cons:

• Some of the themes such as self harm and the violence may be a bit much for some people
• I would love it if this game got an English voice translation!
