The Red Room

The Red Room is a lewd visual novel game made with Ren’Py so that right there tells you what you can expect from this. The game is not yet fully finished and the two ladies that make this game (yep it is made by some very talented female game designers) are not exactly known for fully finishing their games, but this one looks like it could be something special if they ever do get it over the finishing line. Still, what is here is very well done and rather interesting too.

Different From Other Cam Girls

The story that is being told in The Red Room is a truly captivating one. While the translation may not be perfect, the tale that unfolds as you play this game is very strange. The game is about a cam girl, but this is a cam girl that has a rather big thing between her legs if you know what I am saying.

She gets pulled into this erotic show that is known as The Red Room where she gets to perform as all of her hidden desires are pulled out of her for the whole world to see. I do not want to spoil anything and I know that the shemale aspect of the game is not going to be to everyone’s taste, but it is very intriguing and I hope they nail the conclusion.

That 3D Style

I know that some people say that Ren’Py games all have that same look and I kind of agree with that to a degree. However, I do feel that The Red Room art designer has created some great looking characters that stand out. From the main one having a penis to the “hair”, it is a very interesting looking game and while there are some good-looking characters that got my motor running, I do think more of them look interesting than hot.

Of course, the fact that the main character is a shemale may not be to everyone’s taste. I for one though as someone who has played a ton of lewd games found this to be an interesting way to go.

The Hard Knock Life

The gameplay is that of your typical visual novel style game where you need to make various choices as you progress and do various things to try and move the story in a particular direction. The Red Room is interesting in that there is a time mechanic at play which I found a novel approach, but I can see why some might not like it.

The relationships the characters have are what I really enjoyed as the story progressed. Nina by a mile was my favorite, but I liked how there were characters that you are clearly supposed to like and others that are there to be unliked.

Pros:

• The subject matter of the game is very unique
• The game looks great
• Some very interesting characters that you get to deal with
• The choices you have to make feel like they actually matter
• Even without being fully finished, this is still a good game

Cons:

• Will we ever get a full ending?
• The main character may not be to everyone’s taste
