Threshold Road

I have to say that Threshold Road is one of the most ambitious lewd games that I have ever played. It is like as close as you can get to a lewd game being a full-on AAA release. The thing is, a lot of the game is yet to come and what we have at the moment is far from the fully intended release. What is here is cool, but I do feel this is more of a proof-of-concept kind of thing or even a demo of what is yet to come.

Trying To Get The Scoop

The premise of the story that Threshold Road is trying to tell is one that I think shows a great deal of promise. The idea here is that you play as a female reporter who is heading to this strange place to try and interview the leader of this cult and figure out what the heck is going on here. Of course, things go wrong and before long all these monstrous-looking people want to have sex with her.

Much of the story is told through text and the text can be rather hard to read. I think that the bones for a very good story are here and it is certainly a game that I am interested in playing more of.

Beasts Need A Beast Of A Machine!

This game for some reason requires some major processing power to run! It is a 3rd person adventure style game. You will get to take part in various quests that are pretty straightforward in their design. As of me writing, the game, you can get to a section in these caves and that is all there really is to the game at the moment. The gameplay that is on offer here plays it pretty safe and I think it does what it does well enough and I am certainly interested to see what will be added. Still, I am not sure why the game needs so much power and juice to run!

In the Dark

The presentation of the game is a bit of a mixed bag. I like this creepy place where this cult lives, but it does have problems. The main thing is the darkness, this game is way too dark! Remember how I just talked about Threshold Road having a section in caves? Well, these caves are the darkest caves I have ever been in! I was sure I must have missed some kind of flashlight; it was that bad!

Also, the people/creatures that have sex with you are very grotesque. Our main character is pretty hot and every kind of sexual act you can imagine is here. However, it is hard to find it all that hot when the things she is banging are so horrible to look at.

At the moment, Threshold Road needs a great deal of work done on it. I think what is here is showing some great promise and I 100 percent am in when the next update or chapter hits. However, there are just a few things I think that need fixing, the main one being how dark the game is.

Pros:

• The premise of the game is something I like
• The main character is quite the looker
• The quests you go on never felt too complicated
• Lots of nasty next is in this game!

Cons:

• The game is way, way too dark in places
• I just feel the game needs a lot of work before the next update
