My Name Is Mayo

What the hell is My Name Is Mayo is what I asked a buddy of mine when he gifted it to me. This is one of the weirdest games I have ever played and if you look at this site for more than five minutes, you know I have played a ton of weird games over the years. So, what exactly is this? Well, I guess I would have to call it a clicker, but it is probably the strangest clicker I have ever played.

How Many Clicks To Get To The Centre?

This is a game about a jar of mayonnaise hence the title, My Name Is Mayo. You play a hand like literally a hand and your task is to click the jar of mayonnaise over and over again. The ultimate goal is 10,000 clicks. Along the way, you will learn things about the jar of mayonnaise and maybe about yourself too.

The game does claim to have a story, but these are very short bits of story that have nothing to do with anything. Yet, I still found myself compelled to keep on clicking to see if anything different would actually happen.

Is There Any Mayo In The Fridge?

In terms of the presentation of the game on one hand there is not a great deal to say. For the most part, you are looking at a jar of mayonnaise and a little hand on the screen most of the time. However, things can change. Ever wondered what a horny jar of mayo would look like with whipped cream on where I am assuming its nipples would be? Well, now you do not have to wonder as My Name Is Mayo will show you. The game looks decent enough for what it is. The music gets very, very annoying as does the tapping on the damn jar. Yet even though it is annoying, I never found myself wanting to turn the sound down in case I missed something.

Just Keep Clicking

This is a clicker and if you have the patience to click the 10,000 to get the ultimate achievement more power to you. The way that the game tries to keep you invested is that every so many clicks the mayo will change. It will be wearing a costume, it will have a mustache, it will make it rain cats and dogs. There are many different things that it will do and they are all so random that you do wonder just what the hell is going to happen next.

As far as the actual gameplay goes, you have seen all that My Name Is Mayo has to offer after the first five minutes. It is the kind of game that is more of a curiosity and one that you can tell people you have played, rather than being a game you will enjoy actually playing.

• After five minutes you have seen all the game has to offer
