Ballance is a 3D puzzle video game for Microsoft Windows. Ballance was developed by Cyparade and published by Atari Europe. The game was released in Europe on April 16, 2004, and in North America on July 26, 2004. The game concept was to maintain a physical object as possible in increasingly challenging situations. In Ballance, the player takes control of a ball and must navigate various obstacles and environments while not falling off the available platform. So if you’re confident in your skills, test them in Ballance.

Challenge Physics

The game concept was to maintain a physical object as possible in a series of increasingly difficult situations. You are tasked with guiding the ball to the goal by placing objects such as walls, platforms, or ramps on the playing field. You can place these objects to drive the ball to the destination. The game gets increasingly more challenging as various other elements are introduced throughout the game.

These include varying gravity, fire, and portals. Fire blocks burn you if you touch them and can be extinguished with water or ice. Portals teleport players through space when touched. Devices that produce electric fields can be used to attract or repel players and items, including any projectiles shot by enemies. All levels have set time limits, which makes the game even more entertaining and challenging, as this will constantly pressure you to attempt and finish the level before time runs out.

You can also choose the game difficulty to a setting that fits better with what you're looking for. You can choose between four modes: Easy, Medium, and Hard, and a timed mode. Each level has three gold stars you can earn by completing it within certain time limits or achieving high scores with more gems collected. These stars are required to unlock later levels in each world and gain access to future worlds after completing all nine levels.

Create Your Own Levels

In addition to the main game, a level editor is included. This allows you to create your own levels in any shape or form that you desire. You can then share them with other players via the internet or upload them directly to the developer's website. The developer has also created a showcase of community-made levels available for download from their website. This tool makes the game even more entertaining, as it adds more replayability to it, as you can always create or find new levels that other players created.

Conclusion

If you’re into physics-based games like Super Monkey Balls, then you will probably be a fan of Ballance. While the game is more than ten years old, it still holds up, and it is extremely entertaining and can prove to be extremely challenging at times.
