We are going to start with the most recent of all the WWE games and that is WWE 2K22. This game was a return to form for the series. It brought back the very popular GM mode that let you see if you have what it takes to be the next Vince McMahon! It has amazing graphics, a ton of wrestlers, and pretty much every kind of match type you could want. As the saying goes, WWE 2K22, It Hits Differently!

Our next suggestion is a real classic from the days of the NES and arguably the best of all four WWE games that were released for the NES. Of course, we are talking about, WWF WrestleMania Challenge. This game is a ton of fun and features an epic roster of early 90s WWF legends such as Hulk Hogan, The Ultimate Warrior, Randy Savage, Andre the Giant, and many more. It is a fun fast-paced game that has a very unique isometric viewpoint, a first for a wrestling game!

We are going to jump forward a bit here with our next suggestion for one of the best WWE games as we head to the PlayStation 2! WWE: Smackdown! Here Comes The Pain was a game changer for the long running Smackdown series which started on the original PlayStation. It featured more grappling moves, a better reversal system a tremendous season mode, and one of the largest rosters of any wrestling game at the time. There is a good reason why many people consider this to be one of the greatest WWE games of all time!

Speaking of the greatest of all time, how could we have this list of wrestling games and not feature, WWF No Mercy? An absolute classic of a game and one of not just the best WWE games, but one of the best games period on the Nintendo 64. This game features a tremendous roster of Attitude Era superstars such as The Rock, Stone Cold Steve Austin, Mankind, Triple H, The Undertaker, and a ton more. It is the gameplay of the classic “AKI engine” that makes this a game people still play to this day. There is perhaps no better wrestling game to play with your friends than this one.

We also have some fun arcade style wrestling games too, WWF WrestleMania Arcade for example took the Mortal Kombat approach to wrestling! This plays more like a fighting game with each wrestler having their own unique crazy over the top moves and combos! It is a ton of fun and hard to put down when you start. Another fun arcade style game is WWE All Stars which features huge even more muscle bound wrestlers that look like action figures! This is a fantastic game and a game that really should have had many sequels by now!
