Incredible Graphics

Ubisoft clearly hired the best of the best for this project. The cars look great, and the scenery is so heart-stoppingly gorgeous, you may find yourself distracted from the race at hand. The backdrops are very detailed, featuring the famous red earth of Hawaii as well as other recognizable features of the location.

Realistic Feeling Cars

Although the game’s controls take a little bit of getting used to, the cars feel realistic when driving them. They feel like they have real weight to them and can be drifted once players get the hang of driving them. There’s no shortage of places to drive either. The game is open world, allowing you full access to the island, but also has over twenty campaigns to keep you busy and hundreds of cars to collect. It compares well to Forza 5, but Forza 5 can typically continue to look great even on a lower grade computer, where The Crew Motorfest may stumble.

Constant Updates

The game has received numerous updates since its launch. If you’re worried about running out of things to do, you’ll only have to wait as long as the next update. This is an important feature in a long-term game, because without updates the game will eventually lose its shine. Every few months, players can look forward to a new playlist for the game and often an extension of the map too. This means more places to explore and things to see several times a year.

Ubisoft Launcher is Terrible

The biggest flaw of this game isn’t even the game itself. Ubisoft forces players to user their launcher. Many people have reported that the UI for the launcher is terrible, and the game often gets stuck due to the launcher. The only way to resolve this is to close the game and try again. At other times, the launcher can randomly throw up a prompt that blocks the play screen and won’t allow the player to exit out of this. These issues can cause real problems with the playability of the game. If you know you don’t like Ubisoft’s launcher, you’ll want to avoid this game no matter how great it looks.
