Unholy Maiden

As someone who loves lewd RPGs, Unholy Maiden was a game that was really close to the top of my list of games that I needed to play. I had heard nothing but good things about this game, so I was pretty sure it was going to be good. However, I was pretty shocked at just how good this ended up being. I got hooked on this, not just because of the XXX content, but this is easily one of the best RPG porn games that I have played as far as the actual gameplay goes.

Run to the Hills

Look, with maiden in the title, Iron Maiden references are almost like my legal duty while writing this Unholy Maiden review! Anyway, the story here is about a young woman who ended up getting into a bad situation in a deadly dungeon, only to be saved and then awakened in a church by a strange priest, only she has no memories of who she is or what happened to her! This leads to her going on a quest to discover who she is and what happened to her. The story has some great twists and turns, and while her story is great, you do meet some interesting NPCs that also have good stories of their own.

The Number of the Beast!

The thing with the gameplay of Unholy Maiden is that on paper, this is pretty much your standard lewd RPG as far as the gameplay goes. It all works very well; you have your exploration, the various quests that you will be on, and the combat system is turn based. What I liked about the combat system is that it does offer a bit of challenge, but it also felt very fair. I will admit, I only lost a couple of battles during my playthrough, and that was due to my not paying attention. Still, the fact that the combat manages to have a bit of excitement to it, but not feel frustrating, is something I give the developer an absolute ton of credit for.

The Evil That Men Do!

Ok, I want to stay on the gameplay for just a moment. Unholy Maiden manages to tick all the boxes of what makes a decent lewd RPG, but there is one other thing that takes this game to the next level, and that is the general nature of the progression. Far too many lewd RPGs and sandbox games are cryptic and become what I like to call “where the hell am I supposed to go?” games, but that is not the case here at all. For a game that does give the player a decent amount of freedom, the game also manages to keep you on track, focused, and make sure that you know what you are doing. Even if you get distracted by one of the many side quests, you will never find yourself lost or struggling to figure out what you need to do next.

Fear Of The Dark!

Our “witchy” protagonist that we play as in Unholy Maiden is very easy on the eyes; she has a nice thick body, big boobs, and she starts to get lewd and corrupted pretty early on! She is super fun to play as, and I feel that there is a good mixture of hot sex scenes and then some more gross ones with monsters. The actual game looks fantastic, sure, you have probably seen a million other lewd games that have a look similar to this, but that is not the case here as things are finely detailed and they have a kind of modern 2D HD look about them which I thought was very appealing. My only criticism here is that there is that strange mosaic censorship thing going on, and I could not find any way to turn it off.

Unholy Maiden is an erotic HTML role-playing game in which players take on the role of a girl named Atla. This blonde warrior has lost her memory and woke up in a church. A stranger tells her that he carried her out unconscious from the Roseford dungeon, where she likely encountered some ancient magic, which is why she lost her memories.
